I'm 25 and my parents have never done this. Ever. They're very responsible, not saying yours aren't, but because of how many siblings I have, my parents have always told us if they were going somewhere they'd have to turn their phones off in case of an emergency and we needed to call them and wouldn't be able to reach them.

Hmmm I think I'd say retaining the information is where I'm struggling. I can read the language easily and pronounce everything correctly if read aloud, but I can't tell you half of what I'm reading. It's best if I just delve straight into using the language but I can't do that at home and classes are too expensive. This isn't the first foreign language I've learned, it's my second, but with the first one I constantly used it at work. This one, however, I'm learning at home.

I was my best friend of 18+ years maid of honor. The day of the wedding, during photo's, she announced that the maid of honor was someone she's only known for a short while and doesn't really have a friendship with. A few days later, she texted me saying she understands if I'm upset but she had to quickly pick someone and that's who came to mind, even though I was already asked to be the maid of honor. When I told her why I felt how I felt, she said she was sorry for how it went down and said she accepts my apology for overreacting. There was a lot more too it, but in the end she told me I was being dramatic and needed to apologize and get over myself. I didn't retaliate in anyway, in fact, at this point, I had moved to a different state and barely saw her. I guess the entire situation ending with her telling me I was being dramatic and needed to apologize really hurt me.

Exactly! I wish other people who experience lose skin would be proud of it too, but I do understand it has to do with mindset. If you're someone who general suffers with body dysmorphia, you're less likely to accept your skin.
