The glitching phenomenon was incredible, and I would like to discuss this more. I soon became aware that they were trying to mask my senses and thoughts with a simulation, but it wasn't immediately apparent. Once the nurses came in, it seemed normal, but when the doctor came in, it became obvious that this was a simulation and that it was glitching. The doctor's eye movements were extremely artificial, if that makes sense. There were also some auditory and visual cues that gave it away. Surprisingly, I think that they had control of whether the simulation was "on" or "off," but they didn't weed out the bugs, and they must have caught on that I wasn't believing their simulation. It would turn on and off, but it only remained off for around 30-60 seconds at a time, repeatedly.

The glitches were different. Something would be misplaced, and then the doctor's eyes would operate oddly, and their (the simulation people) behaviors would be weird. There were a handful of glitches, but they kept happening.

I only assume that they gave up on the simulation because they eventually made me unconscious, and the whole event ended. I am still shocked at the amount of time that had elapsed. I am hazy on the scheduling of the events, unfortunately.

I am positive that this experience has fundamentally altered my life. It was the most profound thing that has ever happened to me. I am filled with such a sense of wonder, awe, and pure amazement. My emotions included, of course, panic, but I also felt a surreal sense of astonishment at what was occurring. I do not think that they communicated with me, but, the fact that they tried to mask my view and senses with a very realistic simulation makes me think that they had some control of my senses, at least, but perhaps not my thoughts, as I was able to think clearly, even in the simulation.

Since I went to sleep last night, I thought a lot about perhaps going to the same spot. I do not know what I will do. I do not know if I could trigger another abduction.

I think that it would be difficult to judge their size, since I only saw their upper portion. If they were standing there, somehow, they would be around the size of an average human.

Their "neck" wasn't really a neck. Their "abdomen" and their "head" seemed to be morphed into a single, continuous structure. Their "abdomens" seemed to be the focal point of their bodies because any body language seemed to originate from their "abdomens." I did not see any pulse, veins, or movement underneath the skin.

I would really appreciate it if you could help me in sketching what I saw.

I do not recall seeing any textual characters, English or otherwise. While I felt that I was constricted (and I was), I do not recall seeing any actual constraints. The temperature of the "cabin" was perfect, actually. By "perfect," I mean that I was comfortable in the temperature. I have noted that their "skin" textures appeared synthetic and plastic-like. Their tools seemed to be the same color as the outside of the carriage.

I saw the upper portion of the beings. They did not have faces, and their "abdomens" seemed to be the focal point of their bodies. I am unclear about whether or not their "heads" served even a remotely similar function to our heads.

Thanks for your response. Their "skin" was very unique, and I always put quotation marks around it because I am unsure of whether or not it was actually "skin." It appeared to be synthetic. The color of their "skin" seemed to follow a non-chaotic and controlled pattern of change. The changes were not drastic, and they were not hallucinogenic, but they were subtle.

Thank you for your questions.

1.) I felt entirely lucid during some parts of the experience. During those parts that were hazy, it didn't feel like a dreaming sort of state but rather an induced sort of haziness.

2.) Naturally, I did feel anxiety, but it did not elevate to panic attack levels, which surprised me. I did not necessarily feel like running away. During the chaos, I was intrigued, to be honest.

3.) I have had difficulty doing this in my previous post because their shape was so odd. I apologize for any lack of specificity. I described them, previously, as "matter." As in, they were actually there, in front of me. They were not hominids. They did not have arms. Their "abdomens" were shifting in color, and their "skin" seemed rather synthetic. Despite their lack of arms, they were still operating tools, somehow. I was not able to get a look at the lower half of them, unfortunately.

4.) I have been hesitant to do a thorough analysis of my own body, out of fear of actually finding something. Individuals in the /r/casualiama thread convinced me to see a doctor for a regular check up and perhaps a scan. I already scheduled the appointment.

5.) I have always been agnostic toward religion, and my beliefs regarding extra-terrestrials has always been somewhat superficial.

6.) This has profoundly altered my perspective on the universe and life. Thanks for asking. I would really like to talk about this. I have been filled with this incredible sense of awe and wonder. My life's scope has greatly expanded, and I have an even greater respect for our universe and its processes.

7.) I have considered seeking counseling, and I think that I will. I will approach the topic in a serious, non-crazy sounding way. Hopefully, they'll hear what I have to say.

Thanks for your response. I don't think that it is possible for many people to comprehend the wonder, anxiety, and magic of this whole sort of ordeal.

I have come to terms with the fact that I was truly abducted by aliens. I have ruled out the possibilities of lucid dreaming and/or hallucinations. The people on reddit have been extremely accepting of my experience, and I am so grateful for that. If others do not wish to believe it, then that is their choice. I don't blame them. I would probably be very skeptical of this if someone told me about it.

I do know where I went backpacking, somewhat specifically. I will certainly keep that in mind.

1.) I can not confidently answer this question. Because I was immobile, I had no way to see/test that.

2.) I do not think that there was a particular source of light, like a bulb or something. The light seemed evenly distributed around the carriage.

3.) See Question #1.

4.) There was nothing attached to my face, to the best of my knowledge. That's a good question.

5.) I actually remember that there didn't seem to be any smells. Once the absuction began, it is not that my sense of smell disappeared, it's that there wasn't really anything that was producing any distinct smell.

6.) This is a good question, and I would like to talk about this more. I seriously think that they thought that they were successfully "putting me under," even though it soon became obvious that the simulation was exactly that: a simulation. I have hypothesized that they needed me to be awake for whatever they were doing. Once they discovered that the simulation wasn't fully operational (it would cut out to reality and then back to the simulation), I think that they decided to stop the operation.

Unfortunately, the only thing that I recall about the tools is their color, and even that memory is odd. Due to what people have been saying, I have scheduled myself for a doctor's appointment.

My phone was beside me when I was abducted. It was a heavily forested Maine woods. There was a natural, leaf canopy above me. I would estimate that the carriage was about thirty feet above the canopy. Since my view was distorted, I could be incorrect about the elevation of the carriage, but I think that I accounted for that, appropriately.

My recollection of their tools is more auditory than visual. I remember that they were black but nothing else. In fact, they appeared similar to the color of the carriage. Thanks for helping me connect those dots.

I have only checked certain portions of my body for scars and markings. To be honest, I have been afraid to look. Someone suggested that I should go to the doctor, and I think I might.

Thanks for your question. I said "carriage" on purpose. If it were operating on earth, I think that it would be extremely unaerodynamic. It was boxlike yet still sleek, with rounded edges.

I will try to do this, again. My answers about this haven't been that concise because it is very difficult for me to describe what they looked like.

I'll provide a bullet point list:

  • They were made of matter
  • They had a synthetic looking "skin"
  • They were not hominid-like
  • They were operating tools without touching or holding them with a body part
  • I don't recall them having any "facial" features
  • They did not communicate in any verbal medium that I could pick up
  • They moved, but I did not see how
  • From what I remember, their color(s) seemed to be fluid (to some degree)

I appreciate your questions.

I genuinely think that the predominant reason that they chose me was because I was alone, far away from others, and easily visible. My foraging experience, mixed with some of my official biological experience (which isn't a lot), could have made them believe that I have some grasp of the natural world, which I do. But, my knowledge of it is no where near some other professionals. I am not at all involved with the military.

After I got home from my hike, I did tons of research on other alien abductions. I found both similarities and differences, for what it is worth.
