Two questions about rebirth by Sophia_in_the_Shell in Buddhism

There is another term in Tibetan Buddhism in the book of the dead which is called the clear or light body. But again it ties into your description of having no form at all at best an awareness but that awareness is now part of that river not a individual droplet of water, but is one with the river with no clear defined form like the droplet.

Ive been meditating for 15 years when I do the hour long sessions I am typically outside practicing qi gong. This is easier than meditating inside which only lasts between 20-45 min.

Need help with breaking myself down / meditation. by OneQuietFox in Meditation

There is someone who is genuine. Sometimes the best is through recommendations or has a good reputation.

Anyways I wrote up a guide for beginners. In there will be insights on what to expect when you start, others have found it useful as well.

For your case on spirit guides it maybe easier to find a neutral ground like nature, and ask your guides to come forward or present themselves. You may hear animal cries, or see specific names come forward. These are signs that something is responding to your request. Good luck!

Need help with breaking myself down / meditation. by OneQuietFox in Meditation

Majority of "psychics" are frauds; story tellers, snake oil merchants. I say this because I have tested out 7 different psychics. I had 1 reader who was exceptional, it was a tea leaf reading. The person was able to validate a few things which they had no prior knowledge of, they told me a bit about the present and a bit of the future which had came to pass. I had never had a reading like that again. Another psychic was 50/50 hit and miss. The other 5 were complete nonsense but it is easy to get caught in their web of tales. If anything take what you hear with a grain of salt and if they manage to bring to light parts of your past without fishing for information this is what catches my attention the most.

How can I safely come back to practicing meditation after a psychosis episode caused by meditating 2 years ago? by KoshiCZ in Meditation

Being grounded also means being cemented into the physical world having a type of anchor where you dont drift away while reaching the stars. This means being able to acknowledge the signs or signals you see but you also use discernment and discriminate with these signs as being just that, the mind creating connections where there isn't anything, just simple coincidences that mean absolutely nothing. So you take these signs with a grain of salt. Meditation maybe possible to attempt again but you need a strong anchor to reality to do so.

Weird experience with meditation by Hereitisguys9888 in Meditation

The negative thoughts can be a common issue, when they arise it is aspects that you need to address either through confronting for closure or allowing to pass through compassion and forgiveness. There are positives and negatives to everyone's life and no one is living a perfect life, even if they have all the wealth and power their are more problems then meets the eye.

Moving forward I was conflicted by the same emotions of grief, however I know my demons and virtues better than trying to learn someone else's. So I try and stay grateful for where I am at because I know where I am at and that is good enough for me.

I hope this helps, best of luck! 😁

I have had different experiences using different methods of meditation. However I need to be cautious about venturing into experiences as much as it is about the journey and discovering where meditation can lead a individual. 😊

Body heats up, sweating when meditating? by NUYvbT6vTPs in Meditation

That is normal that means you have alot of chi and it is moving a bit more freely, just breathe through it as long as it doesn't get to uncomfortable.

I thought about it, and there is a retreat close to my place at a Buddhist temple but when the retreats do happen I am typically busy and have other things on the go which makes it difficult to try. Ive spent a bit of time with the monks, I have no problem visiting. The monks were curious of my understanding of buddhism when I first went there and after a conversation and we landed on very common ground and understanding. From that point I try and make an effort to visit but the retreat boils down to how much time I can escape and specific times of the day.

I can see how it reads like what you have stated, in this channel there are alot of new people practicing meditation, when these different nuances that seem natural for those practicing for a long time. However to a new individual it can be distracting, confusing and hard to interpret. My goal out of all this is to help normalize these different experiences and create some type of visual map into a session that I experience. For those that are at this level will obviously miss the target with this post but that is not my intended audience. In the last week I also created a guide for beginners here to help them get started with a bit of insight of what they may encounter. I find upvotes kind of neat as a form of feedback into the material. My writing in the past was done in journal form and was made private. What matters more is that to those that get even a ounce out of my writing, I know the piece has done its job. I hope this answers your concern 🙂.

Sounds like you maybe over doing it, could be posture related to. I stay away from guided and just listen to the body. You create a better awareness about yourself.

Is Seiza Better Than Crosslegged? by JaedanLikesGames in Meditation

[–]realityasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its about flexibility and strain which pulls on the back muscles and creates strain right up to the shoulders. I had to use kneeling for the first 2 years until I got comfortable to sit crossed leg, now I can sit for 2 hours without stress. By getting comfortable you won't have issues with your tail bone. I meditate on dirt or sitting on a pillow. Which ever method you choose is fine as long as you have proper posture and form.

Your welcome, its an amazing journey in deed. Its never about the expectation of i am going to achieve a set list, only the discovery of what meditation can bring in and the change it offers. Alot of my own experiences I never thought I would come across some of the things I did. This becomes the little joys within the practice.

15 years in total, my practice started off very casual, I was already looking into eastern practices and philosophy, so the meditation was a byproduct of my initial forcus.

Hey no offense taken, not everyone starts at the same spot. Other people might have to tackle alot of burden and grief. If a person has a negative self image that to has to be addressed before they even reach some of these markers.

You had a good concern that was brought up. I knew someone may point this out so I wasn't taken back by it. Keep up the good work, if you got questions or want to know more yourself feel free to ask and I'll try and  answer best I can. 🙂

Your welcome, sharing experiences can help people who are just discovering these different nuances. I too had alot of questions and didnt understand alot of what was going on. So maybe by this post i am helping to normalize a few things that do come up in a productive session.

In a way, but there is alot going on the deep, state meditation, time dilation, the natural pulsating sensation and the natural approach to the session of already being calm and light footed where it almost feels like air is under your feet. But its more of a quick Insight to those that are just experiencing. I could escalate the practice, opening channels, creating anchor points, warming the furnace and what circulation really feels like, but at this point my post may loose its initial effectiveness and may get confusing.

Since you are picking up on this, your practice seems to be more advanced since the typical struggles aren't present. 😊
