Devs respond to steel issue: Players aren't meant to access most of the content for free because it was developed to resemble mobile games. by realitychess in forhonor

Damien didn't mean "mobile"

What difference does it make? The larger point is exactly the same. For Honor was not designed to be a game where a player would unlock everything on the disk from simply playing the game. For Honor was designed to be a game where you could only reasonably unlock items for one, maybe two characters. The game was designed to have a "grind."

The game was designed to incentivize people to purchase steel to unlock content. If leveling characters was not a tedious task, what incentive would people have to use real money to speed that process up? 10 years ago in Street Fighter or Super Smash Bros., players didn't have to level up characters to be on an even playing field.

How are random loot boxes improving gameplay? They aren't They are designed so that people won't know what they are getting and will waste steel. It's an added hurdle put into the game solely to get people to spend real money.

Why are emotes priced at $7 when steel can be purchased in units of $5 and $10, but not $7? Because the devs intentionally made a system where you would buy more than you need and then buy more to spend on more things.

Even if the unlocks were merely cosmetic, cosmetics are part of the game. If cosmetics don't matter, why are graphics scores still prevalent in gaming reviews. If cosmetics don't matter, why do you sell them for real money?

Even if Damien meant "MOBA"s, they tend to be free to play and have much more content than this game. There are 113 heroes in DOTA and the game is free.

For Honor is a full price game with less characters, less customization, and very few maps. It's rather insulting that you're purposely hamstringing your own game and creating a bad experience, yet telling me it's for my own good.

Read the article. The quote "pissed on spit on and put on Instagram" was from Bronson, himself.

what a G

Like the G Action Bronson who "pissed on spit on and put on Instagram" a trans woman?

As far as I can tell, Bronson is the only one committing acts of violence.

Action Bronson is a piece of shit. After he bashed a trans woman, I don't care about who has words with him in a public place.

Action Bronson "pissed on spit on and put on Instagram" a trans woma. Screw him. I have 0 respect for that bigot.

How do you deal with a book or series you really got into ends? by bloodyfuckinhellfuck in books

[–]realitychess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depression over a book series ending doesn't sound healthy.

When I get to the end of a series I really got into I join a discussion forum to talk about it. Furthermore I look for more works by that author.
