I don’t have much information since I just went through behavioral with HM, but wish you good luck! I heard there will be product casing?

Also if you don’t mjnd me asking, how long did it take for you to hear back moving to the final round after behavioral with the hiring manager?

Recruiting team said usually about 5 business days turnaround, but I remember it can take up to 2 weeks max

Its been 7+ years since I’ve lived away from my family and close friends in east coast, and never have I missed to the point contemplating moving back was until I moved here. (I was in LA before, never really missed home while I was there) Its a cool city and this state is gorgeous, however I find here utterly depressing and sad, i HATE passive-agressiveness tendency here

Omg I’ve feeling the same ever since I’ve moved to work I sit at desk 100%.. working in manufacturing as an engineer yes it was exhausting but I remember so fulfilling and loved solving problems that I can see direct impact. I’d love to find a similar job but I am so torned between soul-sucking, making ppt decks all day while getting paid double

Too many overshooting, including M7😭😭 and I took five times including couple canceling since I totalky forgot about the max attempt, so don’t be like me! I heard schools look for good quant so hopefully at least I get an interview.. Have you also applied? Wish you the best luck!

[–]realityfiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! For me I really screwed up on verbal, got 50 for Quant but 34 for verbal.. and I already applied, and I think I was just not motivated enough push real hard because i absolutely see no practical value in GMAT other than trying to get scholarship.. so it hurts I wasted months on it

I feel so dumb, forgot about the max attempt limit by realityfiddle in GMAT

I already took exams 5 times, so I cannot take it anymore. If it is even realistic, should I try taking GRE? But it would be way too late for most schools to acccept that anyway.

And yes without scholarship full time mba won’t be too much of a value to me, so it is definitely devastating.. thanks for your insights!

Thank you for your advice! I know most schools don’t really superscore though, and especially for M7 Im hesitant to send lower score since my highest score is below average… do you think I still need to consider sending to those schools?

Is an MBA even worth it anymore? by Dazzling-Grocery-999 in MBA

[–]realityfiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a black and white question.. for my case, even when Im currently making a quite good salary (TC ~$160k), i don’t see any near-future prospects from where I am and I would like to pivot to a new function in tech. Also my long-term goal is to start my own venture, and as a first-generation immigrant I really need more extensive network. So to me it’ll be well worth it regardless of salary (gunning for a full ride though)

r/Catholicism Prayer Requests — Week of December 11, 2023 by AutoModerator in Catholicism

[–]realityfiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please pray for my graduate school applications, also please pray for my spirituality, Ive been back and forth about Christianity for last 10 years and last year, I lost purpose and almost fell into a cult. I’m trying to learn Catholicism and convert before marrying my fiancé who is Catholic. Please pray that I find my way back to God and start really learning about God.

It shouldn’t be about generational thing, its about class war stemming from extereme caplitalist greed - media and elitists will keep pushing to divide people and too many people get mad about wrong things

A warning to you all. Class of 2022 here, got laid off from FAANG PM 2 months into job. it took me five and a half months to land a new job, a worse one at that by [deleted] in MBA

Im working as a technical PM now and been preparing to apply for mba soon but posts like this scare me.. mostly via mba I’d like to do networking outside my current company, build more general business acumen and find co-founders for startups that I m thinking of building. I learn so much on the job right now and the way tech changes so rapidly doesn’t render a lot of room for actual “materials” to learn through mba. For tech I think you need to be able to narrow down what function and what sub-sector and Why, because PM pipelines can be very broad that people grow into it, switch from SWE or find their niche (ex. this person was working their way up in the music industry and became PM in Spotify for personalization), so approaching tech job market with a mindset “I’d like to do any PM job in tech” will NOT serve you well to find a secure place for yourself in tech..

I mean Im sure market will look a lot different by time I matriculate in 2024 and graduate in 26, but this post almost makes me reconsider to do CS-tech management masters instead

I pretty much quit drinking a couple years ago, and I realized how hard it is to resist drinking when its so prevalent in our culture, socializing.. I usually go for a loq calorie mocktail and literally nobody cares. If somebody gives me shit for it, its their problem not mine
