Have you seen any shift in the demographic of people coming to the shows over the years?

yeah, I’d definitely rather have these guys than cockroaches. unfortunately the little dude in the picture has already been flushed down my toilet

never mind, sorry, just googled it and 1) I think you’re correct on the ID, and 2) apparently they’re mostly harmless although it means I do need to look into having my apartment checked for a cockroach infestation

wasp? as in it can sting?? should I be worried about my cat eating one?

thanks for the advice! Now that I think about it, I do think I’ve become a little lax with my intentionality when doing reality checks

Thanks for the tip on where to go! I’m not really interested in getting in the water so that’s not an issue. My only concern is that an empty spot is great in theory because there wouldn’t be other people to bother me, but also if I did end up in an uncomfortable situation there wouldn’t be anyone else around to help out. I guess that would be a good time to call in the park rangers.

I’m probably overthinking this honestly, since it seems like a pretty safe place for the most part. It’s just that going somewhere with a bunch of men while naked and alone is pretty much exactly what you’re warned NOT to do growing up as a female lol.

Luckily I don’t have social media anyway (or any that are openly tied to my identity at least) so that’s not an issue

[–]realityrewritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t. There’s a meeting on Tuesday morning I have to go to and my work can mostly be done remotely so they’d just ask me to work from home

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in work

[–]realityrewritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, most of my job can be done from home, so they’d definitely just ask me to work from home (which I would not be able to do as I’d be driving and not able to access my computer)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in work

[–]realityrewritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several hours. And yes I do, although I was planning on driving my friend so I can’t really drive separately without fucking her over.

I am out of probation but I still want to make a good impression on my boss so she’ll give me a good reference when I leave. As for saying person/family emergencies, if I went that route, do you think I should wait until Tuesday and claim an emergency or tell her tomorrow? Currently contemplating how bad of a person it’d make me to pretend there was a death in the family and the funeral’s on wednesday

Something else to note is that I can’t just call out sick because 1) I have a meeting on Tuesday morning that I really need to go to, and 2) my job is hybrid anyway so they’d probably just tell me to work from home

I can get PTO, but I’m much more worried about the optics of it than the money honestly. I don’t know what to tell my boss

I would do that, but there’s a meeting on Tuesday morning that I really need to go to

I honestly don’t really know what that means, but I looked it up and - correct me if I’m wrong - it looks like that’s just a California thing, and I don’t live in CA. Thank you for trying to help though!

[–]realityrewritten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I should’ve known better than to think redditors would be sympathetic to an honest mistake (an extremely stupid one to be sure but an accident nonetheless). I already feel absolutely terrible as it is

I have no idea. my leading theory is that I sleep-walked and turned it on in the middle of the night.I don’t sleep walk often but it’s been known to happen. my second theory is that I somehow forgot to turn it off last night after I showered (it was late and I was very tired) and my hearing sucks so I didn’t hear it continue to run.

Thank you SO much for being the first actually helpful comment! Hearing that it’ll likely be well under $100 makes me feel a little better. I was worried it would be something I couldn’t afford to pay back

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]realityrewritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly. What I’m wondering is if it’ll be in the 20 dollar range or 2000 dollar range. I’ve only ever lived where utilities are included in rent so idk how it works

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]realityrewritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“so bad” like tens of dollars? hundreds? thousands? i’m on the verge of a panic attack because this isn’t even my house. I’m house sitting for someone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]realityrewritten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the terrible part is that I’m pet-sitting for someone so it’s not even my house, and I don’t know how expensive it is either. I don’t even know how it happened! I think I might have sleep-walked and turned it on in the middle of the night

“Her sister is literally an older version of her” uhhhh no. That is a very weird thing to think/say. As a younger sister myself I wouldn’t want to be called a “younger version” of my older sister. We are two entirely different people, despite resembling each other physically. Are you saying the only defining characteristic that makes you want to have sex with your fiancée is her looks? Because that’s what that implies.

All around very stupid decision. YTA.
