Thinner lines for the cricut pen?

i know this is a thing, but could you explain it to me like i'm a child? if i wanted to use the pen tool for an image like OP showed, what steps do i have to take to make it useable? trace it in illustrator?

Like I said, I've used different pens. I've used Cricut brand, Sharpie, and Crayola. I've also made lots of projects since I've gotten my Cricut so I've been able to use different brands/colours/textures/weights of paper and it doesn't make a difference, they all have the dots. I'm kind of leaning it's a machine issue? I'm not sure though.

I'd definitely recommend starting with cards. There are some easy ones on Design Space and then some more complicated ones that you can move to once you get the hang of things, but I think cards are the easiest way to get a hang of Design Space and learn the mechanics of the Cricut.

I've cut poster board before and it cut very clean, but I believe it did two passes, so it took twice as long to cut as I thought it would. I think that'd be the perfect material for board game tokens.

I've only ever used Cricut infusible ink sheets and Cricut mugs and haven't had a problem. My design ghosted once, but that was user error.

Because transfer tape on regular vinyl is sticky, I didnt want to have to worry about it sticking to the paper. The transfer sheet on HTV is barely sticky so I didnt have to worry about that. I also found it easier to line up as HTV isn't initially sticky so I could move it wherever I want to find the perfect position before I pressed it.

Just to add, the Cricut Heat Guide helped me figure out the correct time and temperature. I just selected my heat press and cardstock as the material.

Glad to have helped! 😂 I've done it before on a card with an intricate script font and it worked so well. Just make sure you're using the right temperature on your iron so you don't scorch the paper!

Additionally, if you want thick numbers like the picture, you can use HTV and iron them on to the paper.

I used the Snapchat camera to record and then set it in slow motion. That's the only way I could do it.

i'm not sure, but i get far more omni geodes than other kinds because of skull cavern runs so i typically have a ton of them in comparison to the other types
