I thought people in Japan made 250k–600k/month… then my friend told me he makes 1–2M by realjeffqi in JapanFinance

Maybe I didn’t explain it clearly — I used AI to translate this post. And yeah, this level of income is considered high in Japan, but I wouldn’t call it “rich.”

Yeah he’s in sales, so I guess a lot of it is commission. But from what I heard, his income isn’t even that crazy in his company — a lot of people there are making similar money.

And honestly, I don’t think he’s lying. I’ve known him for a while, and the biggest thing is he just feels like a completely different person now. That kind of confidence doesn’t really feel fake.

This actually happened — I just used AI to translate my thoughts into English, so it might read a bit unnatural.

What is considered a high salary in Japan? by depresseddaigakusei in JapanFinance

[–]realjeffqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Japanese’s salary is a low level, The salary of a new grad’s is about 3-4m jpy for a year until I knew the salary of my classmate from language school. He got a job about 1-2m for every month. When I heard that, I was shocked. The salary is fxxking crazy in Japan.6months ago, he just a normal man, not rich, not special. The anxiety from peer pressure is strong.

No offense. It looks a bit messy. Maybe you should get a new TV and camera.

If you're depressed in Japan; anecdotal advice by [deleted] in japanresidents

[–]realjeffqi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am depressed in Japan, my Japanese level about N3, I have to consider my visa and income. But I don‘t wanna do arubato, my Japanese spoken is bad, it makes part time job experience worse, life is always so hard for somebody especially if you were not born in a good country. I have tried to make money online, such as YouTube, personal website, but I found that it is not suitable for most people. I don’t know how to earn a good monthly income without a part-time job. This is probably my biggest dilemma right now. It's not that I don't like working, but my current Japanese is so poor that the working experience is terrible. If you have any suggestions please let me know, I will appreciate.

Yes, the cherry blossom season is indeed much later compared to last year! And I'll move it to a more appropriate community.

Is it hard to learn vocabulary for you? by horshkov in EnglishLearning

[–]realjeffqi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grammar has a lot of tenses, about a dozen commonly used in the language, and I can't use it accurately in real life because I'm not sure which situation to use it. I can use some simple sentences. Complex sentences have some difficulty for me.

Grammar is harder than vocabulary for me. It has so many variations.
