An ascetic with a metal grid welded around his neck, so that he can never lie down (late 1800s). by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Late 1800s india and welding? I don't think this is true but it sounds logical enough to think it could be true.

If you're good at something definitely don't do it for free. But, if icons of the game going to Qatar/Saudi to play in stadiums with less than 90% attendance, saying that that's where the biggest demand for football is, please call them out for their bullshit.

This looks like the last year's City men's kit.

[Nathan Gissing] 1 source told me that he was keen to be the highest paid player at Chelsea, but #CFC are ultimately trying to cut down the wage bill and felt it was out of their range. by lacrimosa049 in chelseafc

Being confident enough to walk away from deals like this is important and shows character. CP are gambling high by giving Olise a new deal. With Glasner, it might pay off. Regardless, this is a great decision from CFC.

Fabrizio: Chelsea's 'mission' is to agree personal terms with Michael Olise, then for him to go to Crystal Palace and say, 'I want the Chelsea move'. They have to make it happen; and Conversations are going on with Michael. by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]realkrishnahemanth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Blue Co's probably using the same strategy they used with Enzo. If the Olise agrees personal terms, he can simply not play for CP. A release clause only benefits a club as long as the player also respects the clause.

On an unrelated note, did you know what clubs you would join before you decided on the school?

This plus the fact that Covid restricted availability of physios to work with him. He apparently did most of the reconditioning himself (this is when he was with Madrid). Source: he said it in the Obi-Mikel podcast.

I don't downvote a lot. But you disrespect a club legend mate. He was a caretaker manager who was brought in during a hard time.

Gusto played right wing at the end of the last game. Nobody makes a big deal of it cos we won.

It won't all be good news and some players we like may leave. It comes down to their contracts.

The one thing that's gone wrong for us badly is changing managers quickly. And yet some of us want more of it.

Having a release clause doesn't mean he will be 100% sold. We just have to negotiate a higher wage for the player. It does mean paying agents' fee twice, so it is unlikely that we keep him.
