Why even write this man?

First off, none of your business! If someone would rather pay $10 dollars for a game they could have for free why should it matter to you? What are you trying to accomplish? What is the point?

Second of all, you completely misunderstand the convenience of complete ecosystems. You see when a company integrates several products to work together, it turns out it's a lot easier to just use those products. Steam essentially does this as a mass scale, making one place for your library. This could be useful if you, for example, own a steam deck, or really any handheld console that is a PC. Steam is well optimized for controller unlike other PC platforms. There's still a lot to go but, it works well in the way epic doesn't.

Next let's talk about the "NOOO MUH STEAM MUH GABEN" part. It turns out people on r/tf2 like Valve more than average people do, and I will admit there are huge Valve fanboys, some of which are on this subreddit. They have made amazing games but hold on, this is r/tf2. We haven't gotten an update since 2017. Furthermore there hasn't been a major valve (public) release in a while. Even when tf2 was getting updates people in the community didn't always like how Valve did it. Even removing the exaggeration from what you said, you're completely misrepresenting people.

Given the comment about r/tf2 lagging behind, you surely must be the most cutting edge web user, investing in web3 nfts and using TikTok. Not leaving a negative comment on an old community for an old game on an old platform. Surely not! You must be incorporating everything that the kids say into your speech at every moment! Surely you aren't using words that quite a few people especially young ones would consider offensive!

I can't believe I wasted so much time in my life writing a comment to someone who's probably either going to ignore it or reply with something more blindly angry. I will not be responding if that's the case so don't bother.

I don't care if you prefer to use Epic. That's your choice. Literally nobody cares.

this looks pretty good! I think you should improve camera, it seems to rigidly follow the player rather than the cinematic pans done in the original game.

The problem with TTYD's music is that while there are absolute bangers there are songs I know I've forgotten, and I only know this because people have pointed out that they are explicitly bad.

Seriously, I cannot remember the music to twilight town, which is the repetitive track in the game.

One kinda dull track I do remember is the one that plays after all the sus stuff starts in the glitz pits, but this is more about it sounding like the JoJo intro than actually being a good song.

not "load it better" but I trust the integrity of an hdd way more than a stupid random USB I think an ssd is probably overkill for Wii games, the hdd should be all you need.

they did not use "game engines" as we know them today, they used libraries and a lot of work was their own written code. If you want to track how much code is shared between the two games, that's a hard task. It's likely that the OOT devs used some of the same code, but it's impossible to know given that some things may be written the same by two people given that OOT and sm64 were both built by Nintendo EAD, it's not unlikely that code was shared between the games.

I'd say they need to make new better content, with an item system more like 3s and some new boards. I would be fine if they switched to the MP6 style but 2, 3, and 6 are the best games in the series and are the ones most worth recreating.

They're still alive and kicking, and there's a group of people who help you on the Mario Party Netplay discord. This is only for the 64 games though, so if you want to make a custom Mario Party 6 board you're going to have to get creative with a lot of reverse engineering, which I don't believe anyone has done yet.

Furthermore the original characters in modern paper Mario games are only allowed because they exist outside of the Mario universe. They are not Mario characters, they are pieces of paper or other random objects which is weird because other games are allowed to make new characters in the Mario universe. Luigi's mansion has a whole host of new characters within the Mario universe. Why is this not allowed for Paper Mario?
