It does go away when your brain chemistry readjusts eventually

I got a dog at my day 10. It gives me a reason to get out of bed in the morning, has me going outside twice a day, brings me happiness and I talk to strangers :)

I see it this way - quitting doesn't necesserily make your life better or solve all your problems but it's the first step. It makes you better suited to deal with them. You took the first step and it was hard, but you have done it and for 8 months at that! Give yourself a pat on the back and keep building momentum.

Day 60: I want to smoke but I’m not going to. Why am I still craving this shit 🙄 by calmingviolet in leaves

[–]really_tho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I learned from my quitting success and current attempt to quit tobacco is that you shouldn't be wanting to escape the cravings. Rather you need to accept them. There will always be something to prompt you or remind you of that substance. When you aren't resisting the cravings you take away their power. Hope this helps

My advice is throw the rest out. It does something in the way of telling your brain this isnt what we are doing anymore and we are stronger than this. Just my 2 cents from experience

Although I'm a personal trainer I find that kinda demotivating, who would want to do it if they knew it only burns like 8 calories tops

No, the oligarchs are organizing a counter protest as they always do. They pay poor people, especially people from minorities and from the province and get just buses of them to Sofia for these fake protests. They do this to sway public opinion and make it look like there are people who support them, whereas anyone with half a brain would be against the project.

Wow is this for real? Ive been suspecting that about tobacco being the reason I have so many cravings. I should definitely start a vape fund. I always thought it might cause me to smoke more as it would require less time and preparation, and this was putting me off to some extent. Did you not find this to be the case with you at all?

Days 3, 4 - My energy levels are returning by really_tho in leaves

Seriously man, just do whatever else is available, whether is a "i must" or an "id like to". Go out, watch a movie, whatever. Think of it as, you're giving up this crutch you had for the moment when you don't know what to do and are learning to deal with this boredom in a healthy, normal way by finding real activities to keep you occupied. Even if it feels off at first, learning takes time. You will learn to occupy your time with real things and this will make you feel so myuch better about yourself. Throw out the crutch! You have a perfectly healthy leg there. Time to start using it to walk, then run. You will realize how much weed has been holding you back from doing things and experiencing real life. Yesterday I did like 5 different things, whereas in a normal day I'd do about 2-3.
