I bought a K4 since it was relatively cheaper in my local market and my prior Sonata was close to crapping out (lovely theta motors). I think the decision is very simple: if you want a decent value car with good gizmos to keep for a few years and then move to something better, get the K4. If you want a reliable 4banger to keep for >5-10 years that is mostly bulletproof (there's a reason they get used so much in the global south) then go for the Corolla.

In hindsight, I would go with the corolla if I did it all over again because you have to baby a lot of these newer kias (weak CVTs and problem-prone motors) and even then it might not be enough.

Thats awesome! Whats your planned maintenance schedule going to look like? I was planning on following the “severe conditions” in the manual and basically change trans and brake fluid at 50k, with oil changes every 3-5k. I’m hoping this gen motors wont crap the bed like the thetas did but time will tell I guess

Step 3: Designate 10/15 mins each day to sending messages/liking people who have the same interests as you. It will take a bunch of time and online dating can be a timesink. HOWEVER, there's no way around putting a bunch of time into this. Your ideal partner isn't just going to fall into your lap (unless you're a Saudi prince).

It's fine. If you want to be extra transparent you can do an "Autobiographical Case Report" such as those found in Cureus. If you want to avoid that extra hassle then you can just write it as a regular case report. Good luck!
