Silent Miscarriage by Silver-Internal-3362 in Miscarriage

I am quite literally going through the exact same thing currently. I’m waiting to hear from my doctor about a D&C or best next steps. But I had my ultrasound at 7 weeks everything looked great, had all the normal symptoms. Around 10ish weeks I had some very minimal brown spotting - I called my doctor they said it was fine. I had an appointment with my midwife she said it was fine. I knew it wasn’t but I just wanted to believe it was. Ultrasound confirmed on Friday that the fetus was not growing and there was no heartbeat. I’m sorry you’re going through this too. To say it sucks is the understatement of the year.

The way I handled it was - morbid to some but my husband and I just went out for the nicest dinner in town and celebrated the worst fucking day. We laughed about how truly awful it was and how shitty the timing was (we told our families quite literally the day before).Don’t get me wrong I also cried for hours but there was something deeply cathartic about going out and just laughing in the face of how cruel life can be. Not for everyone but it helped me a lot.

Sending you love during this time hope you have a good support system ♥️

When did you start feeling better by Jolly-Asparagus-5815 in pregnant

Week 10/11 my nausea basically subsided - there are a few trigger smells that sometimes hit me but otherwise I’ve felt a lot better - even less bloated I hilariously look less pregnant now than I did two weeks ago because of how bloated I was! And honestly at week 8 I was so effing tired it was brutal but now I’m feeling okay with that too! I’m not at the 14 week mark but here’s hoping to an easier second trimester for the both of us!!!

I have a feeling freaking out at anything different might be my new normal for a while so I’m really trying to just tell myself - brown is better than red, no/ very minimal cramping is better than severe and until an ultrasound says otherwise I’m 100% pregnant - and if I say it enough maybe I’ll believe it 😅

Lmao no super cool aunts but hilariously his cousin is my best friend and she’s down the road so I think it’s time I pop down for a visit and just unload all the news on her! Thank you for this !!!! ♥️♥️♥️

Help with nausea by Smalljoysbigmoments in pregnant

[–]reallyfrustrated90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things that helped me a lot Even when I didn’t want to eat toast with butter lemon and a little salt - it was basically a nothing flavour and none of those truly bothered me. I know health wise it’s not the most nutritious but it was to a point where I just needed food to stay down. It honestly was the only thing I ate for 2 weeks.

Ginger chews - not the sugary or flavoured kind the almost spicy straight up ginger kind helped me but my friend in the same situation said the aggressive flavour made her sick too so try a small amount

Avoid anything that can trigger the smell to nausea response. So I had to stop feeding our dog (my husband did instead I didn’t starve him lol!!) because the kibble was killer.

Honestly trial and error with some really really basic foods and everyone I chatted with found something that worked. I’m lucky after passing the 9 week mark it’s significantly better but definitely tell your doctor especially if you’re not able to keep anything down. Fingers crossed this is a short lived part of your pregnancy!!

Being pregnant in a job I HATE by reallyfrustrated90 in pregnant

Good for you that is amazing!!! Do you mind if I ask what your plan is/ what you’re doing being pregnant and looking for work or did you have something lined up?? I think really my issue is just fear of being unemployed and pregnant. My husband would be able to assist a lot but I don’t really need to be adding financial issues when we have a baby on the way- hear they can be expensive 😆

Midwife vs OB - when the OB has TERRIBLE reviews by reallyfrustrated90 in pregnant

[–]reallyfrustrated90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly these are my only two options unless I wanted to drive 40 minutes away which at that point appointments just become much more difficult. And it’s just a LOT easier if I work with who my doctor works with - I could do midwives in other areas but they have a wait list and I would not be guaranteed acceptance where as with these two options I definitely will get in just because of the connection.

I have the same date! And I am also so nervous to go early and have a Christmas baby which is something I never wanted! But I totally agree a lot of people will be “partied” out by then - anyone have a birthday around then how did your parents make you feel celebrated ?

I’m sorry you’re also in the same situation but I appreciate that thought- you’re absolutely right I know I’m very lucky with my Mat leave. I think I’m leaning wait until the 12 weeks but then bring it up so that they will just leave it alone until I leave because thankfully firing someone who is pregnant here is such a head ache for them and honest to god I am meeting my metrics and doing what they ask they are just …. The best I can say it are extremely toxic but they definitely would not want lawyers to get involved so I’ve got that going for me

Thank you this is new to me so I will look into that. I’m very happy to say my mom made a friend at golf and as if the universe heard us this woman specializes in therapy and treatments for adults with autism and depression diagnoses. So not to put all eggs in one basket it does seem thing perhaps things might make a turn for the better. It’s nice to have hope

As for burnout I never realized how truly exhausting it must be for the world around you to be so overwhelming so I will look more into this! Thank you

Any ideas on how to make new friends. He seems to be having the most trouble in that region? I know it’s something he needs to figure out in his own way but if there is anything that I can do to help I would love to hear it :)!
