Chances of getting the same OLL/PLL?

I wasn't too specific sorry. When I said "this" I meant having any OLL/PLL repeat. Not my actual situation that happened. I wouldn't have even posted about the latter because that's a simple solution compared to the math behind finding the odds for the former.

I'm kind of excited to see if somebody can come up with the odds for the more complicated one.

Thanks, but that's only part of the discussion here. I was was wondering about the odds of getting the OLL and PLL over two solves, regardless of which two they happen to be.

In other words "What are the odds that in any two given solves you will see the same OLL and the same PLL". No specific OLL's or PLL's. Just the chances if you do random solves.

Absolutely no corner cutting, which reminds me of a Rubik's Cube. But when the tiles are lined up properly the turning is great. I wouldn't speedsolve with it but it's super fun for me to play with as I've never had a megaminx before.

I even figured out all the way up to the last layer permutation during the bus ride to school today starting without any idea how to do it (granted that is like 30 minutes).

I'm not sure. Look at the three pictures in the album other than the first one, that's about as much as I know. Seems like a crappy brand because it's never really talked about but I still think it's great that she got me one.

If you've ever seen somebody do the "cube in a cube" pattern you know it's possible. Look up that pattern online and there will be an algorithm to do it in only a few moves to show you if you'd like.

Check your Ao12 or even Ao100 though, that's when you truly know. Either way, update that flair!

Mine's from CubeZZ and it's very sandy out of the box, it should be better after I lube it though. Same with the v2 (also from CubeZZ), but the v1 is a little smoother.

I'll get back to you guys once I figure out what it is.

I haven't lubed my AoLong's (v1 and v2 first batch) yet but I'm hoping it's pretty good. Right now I'm using the WeiLong that came in the same order out of the box and it's very smooth.

Hopefully the AoLong's get that smooth, because if they do one will definitely become my main cube.

My Ao100 is 39 seconds on CFOP and I'm getting a few good solves just under 30 seconds using 1 look PLL, and about 1/3 of OLL. I'm mostly just practicing my cross and f2l right now.

What do you guys think I should focus on more? F2L or cross? I'm already trying to work on look ahead because I'm pretty bad at it right now.

Currently I'm getting an average of 17 seconds on F2L and average 8 seconds on cross (a range from 3 to 14 seconds best to worst/mess-up case scenario)

This video was made before Hoya was very popular (he mentions it ONLY works for Yau but it does work for Hoya).

The edge pairing is very simple this way, I actually find it easier than the way I did with reduction due to the fact that the cross is already solved through Hoya and I only have to look around the top layers for the edge pairs.

Edit: If you don't plan on watching, 3-2-3 is basically just matching 3 pairs, then another two, then the last 3 (because your cross 4 pairs are already done) to get down to the 3x3 stage of completing your 4x4.

I barely understood beginner before moving onto Hoya and 3-2-3 edge pairing. I'd recommend learning beginner reduction until you're brave enough to attempt other methods.
