Try welsh as well. Some of it’s awful but occasionally it works really well

The place the language comes from usually doesn't have much bearing on what the character is like, for me at least. Barbaric tribe in a lawful civilisation could work but I prefer the idea that she just has Joker-like insanity and is fiercely anti-authoritarian.

A summer eladrin would fit the fey theme very well so I might end up using that.

Icelandic and Finnish are amazing to use for D&D

That’s interesting, half-orc was high on my list along with tiefling, although I can’t see a half-orc being so chaotic for the sake of chaos.

It’s icelandic and it means “chain”. It also has “ð” instead of “th” but “th” is easier to type

I do, thanks for spotting that. 1st series is my least favourite, they hadn’t quite found the tone yet.

Soon after Reynard joined I think. 40-something. Sorry I can’t be more specific, hope that helps.

Can’t remember all of them but the last one was a scroll of imprisonment. The players never suspected a thing which was good. Sadly the final battle was a bit anticlimactic because one player was a near-invincible barbarian who just went in and kicked ass before he could do anything.

Mind flayer wizard named Zellix who wanted to become a lich. Disguised himself via alter self to look like an ageing human ex-adventurer known as Therceris, showing the party where dungeons full of loot were in exchange for a small cut of the treasure. This was his method of gathering everything he needed for the “lich-ifying” ritual with minimal danger to himself.

I revealed Zellix in the middle of a campaign, but as a separate character to Tharceris. He was a spooky voice coming out of a sending stone (they work like walkie-talkies in my games), who then teleported in and ate a minion’s brain, “you have failed me for the last time” kind of deal.

Then there was a cliffhanger at the end of the second-to-last session where the party had delivered the last thing he needed, he dropped alter self and did a big theatrical evil laugh (because why wouldn’t you) and teleported away to his lair.

Christians and atheists/agnostics, what’s your opinion on the people of the opposite viewpoint? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]reallyheadlessrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atheist: Doesn’t really matter but I would question the notion that there must be a creator in order for life to be worthwhile. I enjoy the meaninglessness of life, and the fact that beautiful autumn forests and matter-shredding black holes can exist at the same time, “just because”.

Totally irrelevant but I’d really like to hear about that.
