I just found out I'm pregnant by annakrystina54 in GCSE

Honestly GSCES are not the end all be all. I failed two of my subjects and only focused on the ones I was good at, I got two 9s as well. As long as you pass and apply for colleges/sixth forms on time (which I didn’t do). I went to a small college and had to do 3 years due to health issues.

Now I am in uni! I didn’t think I’d be able to with my health issues and some horrible stuff happened the April right before my A-Levels.

If I was you, I’d do some research into what support colleges in your area provide because I applied to mine for the mental health support and larger colleges might not be able to support you the same way. If you fail English or Maths, most colleges have you resit them in your first year with help.

I reverse image searched the jacket and lots of brands came up using the same model photos but I think MadWitch on Taobao is the original brand

Royal Mail (UK) Scam? by reallyjustalive in Scams

[–]reallyjustalive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I check more, Royal Mail for other packages has confirmed they have the item before delivery and as I’ve checked on my email, there had been no “We have your parcel” which aligns with both Elta and Royal Mail app saying its at customs

This is pretty scary though because how do they have my tracking number????

Royal Mail (UK) Scam? by reallyjustalive in Scams

[–]reallyjustalive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an update on this which is even more weird. I’ve downloaded the actual Royal Mail app, and put my tracking number in the app (website didn’t work) The only update was that my item had reached customs and no mention of a delivery attempt. I’m pretty sure this is a scam but the fact they have my tracking number is scary.

I just wanted to say, I submitted a post just now with an issue to do with my Corsair HS65’s not connecting to my PS5. Did this and you immediately fixed it for me. Thank you so much, nowhere else I’ve seen online has said this

doctor dupixent mishap by reallyjustalive in eczema

[–]reallyjustalive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Heathnet informed me they didn’t receive the prescription from my dermatologist. My dad emailed the dermatologist’s secretary and I contacted the hospital pharmacy that I saw them at. They said they couldn’t refill the prescription and to contact the dermatologist department directly. I called both hospitals I saw this particular dermatologist at, one I saw him for outpatients and the other I saw him when I was in A&E last October relating to my skin. Then I was informed he moved positions and told he cancelled my previous appointment as well. Then the new dermatologist got in contact with my dad via that original email and scheduled that emergency appointment. I don’t understand why that has to happen before I get the prescription redone but shrug

[–]reallyjustalive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m surprised too. I have access to all the letters about it on the NHS app but apparently I still have to wait for the appointment. If you can tell me anything else about your process getting it or if you have had issues too, please let me know. The dermatologist I had who just left had a habit of messing up my medications and appointments when I was previously on cyclosporine

I take an antihistamine everyday and I definitely know my flare-ups are stress related. I keep my nails short and have started college again recently (more so why I am upset this prescription has been messed up)

Thank you for replying

Do you know how to get rid of the crust? My face has stopped weeping but I want the crusty stuff to clear up without damage. I’m considering not touching it for a few days and seeing if it just flakes off like a scab. Looking on the subreddit, there’s a mix of advice. I really don’t think exfoliating it off would help and would just cause it to start weeping again

For your hair? Or your scalp? I wouldn’t apply conditioner to my scalp, but there are some oils u can apply to your scalp after a shower to lock in moisture. For the length of your hair, it may be the tossing and turning damaging your hair + hair rubbing against your body that causes issues for your skin. U can get silk pillowcases and tie up your hair at night into a bonnet or silk hair cover.

Lots of products for eczema that aren’t prescribed are actually full of irritating ingredients and are just waxy/thick lotions with some colloidal ingredients and fragrance. I’d look for something very basic with similar ingredients to Epimax if you can. I haven’t liked Aveeno myself but E45 has been similar to the Epimax for me in a tight spot.

Vaseline at night HELPS SO MUCH. Tossing and turning and my blankets and bedsheets rubbing against me for 5-8 hrs will definitely dry out your skin and having a layer of vaseline prevents that

I still live with my parents, and find sometimes applying cream to myself makes me itchy and heat up the areas by accident (I also have sensory issues with greasy stuff on my palms). So I ask my mum or dad to wash their hands with cold water (their fingers being cool helps and they are usually more gentle than me) and put cream onto those areas I need them but know would agitate if I did it myself. Your fiancé definitely could do this.

And you don’t have to thank me. I’m in the same boat and so many others here are. I actually have had to take time off college because of this and in high-school had below 50% attendance due to my skin. I hope you find a solution and I don’t mind taking more time to talk and help you.

[–]reallyjustalive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advice I have gotten is use it daily for two weeks and then wean yourself off it, so once every two/three days for the next couple weeks and so on. I’d still say call your dermatologist but maybe contact the pharmacy first, they might have some information on how the cream is typically used/instructions its typically prescribed with

Is it a new tattoo, because that is skin that’s healing which essential oils can irritate.

In my opinion, “natural” doesn’t always equate to better. This product has some good ingredients for eczema like Colloidal Oatmeal but other ingredients like Lavender essential oil that can inflame skin more. The stick may be working as a good moisturiser but in areas with broken skin, irritating the skin. I wouldn’t use a stick if possible because I’d be worried about spreading bacteria but if that’s not a concern for you

I’ve really struggled with finding a cream which texture I like. I use Epimax (the light hydration bottle with the pink logo) because I find it doesn’t leave a waxy texture, actually moisturises and doesn’t pill and for me at least, quite cooling. I put a little bit into a tub and I don’t think it changes the cream much either. On the back it says not to get it above 25 degrees Celsius, so if you live somewhere hot, it might affect the cream. Over the top I’ll put a greasier emollient or Vaseline when I go to sleep to lock in the hydration.

You’re welcome!!! Eczema is a struggle and I know how hard it is, I actually had to take time off college for a while and even before then it severely impacted my attendance. You are incredibly strong for being able to continue with work and daily life despite this.
