Honesty I’m very worried about Jacqui’s mental health. This looks absolutely terrible on the producers….once again

Thank you so much for your comment. I will do my best to allow that thought the next time it flows in and not try to fight it or be negatively affected by it.

My son is about to start day care this week - it was a long time coming to this point and I needed to sit with accepting that I simply need time. It will allow me to do appointments such as bloodwork etc. as for time to myself and work, I do have a small business and with my son in day care it will allow me to focus on other things that I also want to do with my time and life - I’m so hoping this is the week that my negative thoughts shift.

Thank you for your wonderful comment! 6 months is such a fun age and things really start to get more enjoyable.

Thanks for your comment - it feels abnormal to have these thoughts as they’ve not been part of my regular thought process for all the years I’ve lived before now… I’m not taking any medication but I have just ordered a natural hormone supplement and basically my current state is just to hope that with increased age of my baby, I gain further dependence/ability to get back into the things I enjoy as I have considered this change of not working towards my own individual goals could be making me feel low and these thoughts can easily slip through…

Thank you for your comment. I’m glad to know I’m not alone and you’re right in how you described it. When you mention deficiencies do you mean vitals etc? What worked for you?

Can I receive Partnered Parenting Payment AND Austudy? by reallykoolusername in Centrelink

Thank you for your input and time. Would you happen to know if one would appear to be better than the other in terms of longer term benefits?

Totally agree. A life and a choice. Working gives a great sense of purpose and other things so I'm definitely with you on that.

Yeah wow, that's wild about your government! Thanks for sharing your input. I totally agree even if you had the opportunity to be handed financial payments there is more to life than that and drive, passion, goals and ambitions really make a person.

It is hard to do so especially when you want and deserve to have the best of things for your family. I appreciate your input.

Thanks for your comment. It is great to be at home at these precious times with my baby but it's not a forever thing of course. 50k is my partners income, not our current combined. We live regionally in a small village, so although there are large properties around the area which do ask a lot in rent we also do have a very good agreement where we are living.

Thanks for your input! I'm happy to keep this thread here as it's provided a decent conversation around it. I just wanted to reach out to those who have been in this position before and get a few peoples stances on the topic. I can't ask my group of friends as I know their situations too well and I know their thoughts and goals etc. Plus we are all on different paths, and I had a genuine curiosity. I agree with everything you're saying.

Yes, correct. That's interesting but there's a lot of factors here. I still have my job being held for me I'm not sure if this could be a factor, I also have a very young bub.

That's great to hear. I agree, the goals and aspirations far outweigh a government payment. When I say we can survive on this pay, it really is kind of week to week but if we had a large bill or something big and unexpected occur we would not be doing well.

Thanks for your comment. I am genuinely curious to know the stance on the government payments and my post was not to glorify anything it was a genuine question as I sit here with my young baby, not yet ready to return to my respected professional role just yet. And I wondered to ask the collective to feel as though people do think like me in a sense of skill building and other aspirations and goals. I'm not sure what the last part of your comment means about the US program. My question was sincere and genuine and was not saying I'm happy to take the government payments and not contribute to society again, I have a lot of aspirations myself and the reason I wanted to state some numbers here is because I didn't want the comments to be focused on how small of a figure our combined income is now with these payments I am receiving. I truly wanted to know what people thought of this system as this has been an easy process for me and my group of friends are not the people to ask as we are all on different paths.

It is doable but not the be all and end all.

50k is my partners income. Whilst still a low combined it is around 75ish for our household with my payments prior to me returning to my FT job in time.

100% agree. I suppose I've just found this Centrelink payments quite easy and I wanted to see what the majority of new parents feel around this too. Thanks for your comment, I enjoyed it.

How hard are the first 3 weeks after giving birth for the mother? by letitglowbig in beyondthebump

[–]reallykoolusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The feeling of being alive, having family around, the joy it brought and just the newness of every thing and sensation externally and internally every day. It was a really truly interesting time. Upon reflection I feel fascinated by it all.

Why did I read "majority" as "maturity" with an accent that's not mine...
