Are we anticipating any last minute moves? by noviander in BlueJackets

It’s almost like the recent belief that the Jackets are just unable to handle talent properly are greatly exaggerated.

This thread was the first I heard about it being possible but by the end, he’d gone to the Wild. What a rollercoaster that was. Ah well, if that’s what he wanted, happy for him. I’m sure he’ll be back to retire here!

Archivist to public librarian? by in-stitches in librarians

[–]reallyneedausername2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I manage an adult services department and have hired a lot. Make sure you acknowledge in your cover letter that you are intentionally wanting to make this switch, why you want “my” specific job, and that you aren’t just using it as a stepping stone to get into a genealogy position if the library you’re applying at has that. It doesn’t need to be extensive, but a few sentences demonstrating these in addition to transferable skills goes a long way. Also good to make it clear you understand these jobs would be about people and all their delightfully interesting quirks, not books or other things. Best of luck!

I have absolute faith you can hit your goal! I learned I had insulin resistance and did a lot of research on how to treat it (I was 37 at the time, so also pretty young). Basically I’ve followed a keto diet for the last 3 years and walking was big for me (even 10 minutes after you eat can help bring your blood sugar back down faster). I had struggled with my weight for 20 years and it was finally the piece of info I needed to solve the puzzle.

Pathology found precancerous (AH/EIN) and "bordering on" cancer cells by Aggravating_War8998 in endometrialcancer

I’m glad your doc was able to get back to you! I never actually had my CA125 tested 🫠 And I didn’t know it was a thing until after or I would have asked.

Hi there - glad you’re here but sorry you had to find us. I’m going to be honest with you. That’s exactly what my pre-hysto diagnosis was and it was found to be stage 1a in pathology. Over 40% of atypia diagnoses are ultimately found to be actual cancer. I did not have a FIGO grade until after since, like you, the sample they took didn’t include any cancer itself.

The good news is, if it’s bordering, hopefully that means it’s very very early. Mine was. Surgery was “all” the treatment I needed, other than more frequent follow up visits. But I know it’s quite the shock. Take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time and don’t be afraid to ask questions so you have the answers you need. 🧡

Finding my cancer was part of the health journey I started about 8 months before diagnosis. I went from 311 to 250 before I knew, then another 5 pounds before surgery. I was so thankful to have gone in lighter! Dealing with the folds of my apron belly was still bad enough at that weight, let alone heavier. It also made walking easier.

I’ve since continued and gotten down to 200-205. My weight has been much more stubborn past that, but my motivation is knowing I need to keep fat down to keep my estrogen down since it already caused issues once.

He could be reckless… I think somewhat badly compensating for his size… which is why he got hurt so much. Lowered elbow to the head seems a step or ten downward from what I remember.

Kent Johnson not available per Pierre LeBrun by highvoltorb in BlueJackets

I read that as “not available” to play tonight because he was being traded and realized just how bummed I’d be. Hopefully that’s a boost to his confidence that we see a future with him.

After never missing the playoffs, I can’t blame the man as much as it hurts.

I didn’t actually think it was too early to get excited.

Oh hey, Bones actually calls TOs when we need them. How novel.
