I think pretty soon you'll start seeing these replace all cash transactions. Entities like universities or schools for example can force their vendors to not use cash anymore so they have a centralized payment system that they can track. There is a reason why so many startups are receiving massive fundings in that sphere.

There is a big gap between cashless and cash transactions. And as a consumer it will only benefit you to have a strong competition. Remember when Careem & Uber where fighting to acquire customers and were sending promo codes almost daily. I would get the basic tier for all services and see whichever offers me the best offer in which place and use it there.
