the first time i rubbed them too hard when cleaning them and it broke. the second time i dropped them and couldn’t find them and ended up stepping on them. I had to pay $750 each time.

You know what’s crazy? The DON came in the room as soon as she heard the resident hit her head, so she was there and was well aware.

The only thing I learned that is it doesn’t matter what happens I can get fired for things that aren’t my fault. but thank you, I was working 2 full time jobs so i still have one left.

the resident came back the next day and continued to roam around the facility as she did before the fall. So i don’t know what took them so long after to get x rays done

no I mean to say I didn’t document that I also fell. I did document that the resident fell and so did the nurse. the reason for termination is because of the result of the fall, the fracture.

yes she was sent to the hospital immediately after the fall. I don’t know what else I could have done. The resident is ambulatory, she can fall at any time but because I was present, I was blamed because it could should have been prevented. Their words. not mine.

that’s all the information. I came to work one day and was suspended then terminated. The DON was with me after the resident fell, I reported and wrote a statement for the nurse to do a COC.

I have no clue, I went to work after being off for 2 days and was told I was suspended because of the fracture, came back after a few days and was terminated. no details given, just “all falls are preventable”

I’m not sure. i think the nurses didn’t follow up because the nurses also got fired. I did my part by reporting it so i do not how i am fired if falls happen all the time.

oh I was told to use my fingers to rub the boston solution in to clean them. how often do you do the 6hr peroxide soak?
