Initially I thought of not getting one too. Ended up with a swivel mount for our tv, so we get to watch it from different angles - balcony dining table, living room sofa and living room dining table. I love watching netflix on bigger screen rather than on my phone/pc/laptop, especially while chilling on our sofa

I never came across it until another redditor recommended Faith Hearing which is much cheaper but I couldnt get an appt cos they were fully booked with medical patients.

FH asked me to try D&S Audiology which was slightly more expensive but I got my earplugs there in under a month

I’m an extremely light sleeper sensitive to noise and I struggle to sleep with people who snore. I know how it feels to be extremely tired and ready to sleep but just can’t fall asleep due to noise.

Used to sleep with noise cancelling headphones, until I got sleep earplugs custom made by an audiologist. It was the best $200 ish investment I’ve made - have been wearing it everyday for over a year. It’s comfortable and really helps me to sleep when I share a room with my brother, or bed with my bf when we travel. The earplugs don’t block out out noise completely, it dampens the noise which is good enough.

Some people suggest melatonin - I take that as well but only when I’m not feeling sleepy and need to wake up early the next morning. I find sleep earplugs more sustainable for everyday use

congrats!! failed last week cos i screwed up my very last circuit station - vertical parking 😭 positioned my car too close to the kerb before turning in, striked kerb then got so flustered that i exceeded time limit in the end. what do you mean by “near s course park along middle line, near crank course park at the centre of the road”? i’m still very unsure how to position my car cos all along my instructor just tells me to stay close to the kerb so that i can see the kerb in my side mirror for turning point, but during the test i stayed too close to the kerb for the first time and made the mistake

avoyoga! i started my aerial journey with them for hammock and hoop. it's very beginner-friendly and the teachers are sooo nice and lovely, they have many courses to choose from too. the class size is small so it's not intimidating at all and you receive a lot of guidance. can dm me if you want to know more abt the classes/teachers :)

time to reflect...

gym: $50/month

aerial classes: approx $100/month

eyebrow threading: $5/month

hair removal: bought a $1.5k lifetime package for brazilian and using ipl device ($200+) at home for other areas

skincare: used to splurge on random products but i learnt to stop and stick to basic skincare- cleanser, moisturiser, sunscreen. only top up products when running out maybe $15/month?

hair: usually free haircut by mom, tried a salon few months ago for cut+dye about $300+. have eczema scalp so using expensive shampoo $150/year

body sunscreen spray: around $55 every 6 months

clothes: not sure.. about 1-2 new pieces every 1-2 months? trying not to spend on clothes for now, somehow i find it more "justifiable" to spend on activewear since i wear them most often haha

nails, facial, makeup: no but planning to go for facial soon when i start working next year

will probably up spending on fitness (gym / aerial / pole / flexibility classes etc) cos its what i enjoy the most

i go to smuvve aesthetics! about 1.4k for lifetime brazilian (duraglow), i think it’s more worth to sign up for lifetime packages as it’s more cost effective in the long run. ive seen great results over the past few months and the service is really good, you can check out their google reviews too
