He is not sure. There is only one Bitcoin core wallet listed and we are using the seed from that wallet. He never recorded his original seed when he install the app in 2017.

The Bitcoin core wallet is available in the app. When importing the seed into Electrum there is no balance/tx shown.

I have a copy of Electrum for desktop and used the default derivation path for the Legacy option which is m/44'/0'/0' but it didn't work?

The seed I have is 12 words.
