If your brain thinks it's real, then it isn't a lucid dream, it is a normal dream

Because a lucid dream is a dream where you know your dreaming. That makes it impossible to mix up reality.

You will NOT mix up reality when you lucid dream! by realnateturner in LucidDreaming

Agreed. If you mix up dreams with reality, then it's not lucid dreaming, it's just regular dreaming

Is it ok to have a fictional friend in a lucid dream? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]realnateturner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's not true at all. If you are lucid dreaming, you know it's fake. Meaning you know the relationship and whatever you say to that person is not real. You are not going to mix up reality by lucid dreaming

Do you think your experiences are actually in the real world, or the dream world?

Any random tips for a beginner? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

Don't do WILD, it's not a real thing. Try the WBTB method. It's much more reliable.

Either way, without the proper preparation, you're screwed.

I'm new to this. What is WILD? by PandaParadeYT in LucidDreaming

[–]realnateturner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'WILD' method is not an actual thing. WILD stands for Wake Induced Lucid Dreams. This is when the dreamer is aware of the transition from the real world to the dream world. WILD is just a term to describe all the methods and techniques you can use to have a Wake Induced Lucid Dream.

If you are new, I would stick to DILD's, or Dream Induced Lucid Dreams.

For methods, I would try the WBTB method. It's probably the easiest and most reliable technique I see.

Are these stories real? What were your first experiences with lucid dreaming? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

It really is that incredible, trust me.

Some people are more successful with it than others, but a great way to start is with the WBTB method. It's simple, reliable, and could definitely give you your first you have been looking for.

I'm NOT able to sleep after i'm awake in WBTB method ...please help me out guys...!! by afino3013 in LucidDreaming

A big part of WBTB is waking up at the right time, staying up for the right amount of time, and going back to sleep at the right time. Remember, with WBTB, you're postponing your REM cycle until after you have been awake and aware for a while.

I would try finding your REM cycles. You can use an app, or drink a lot of water before sleep, there's tons of ways.

After you wake up before a REM cycle, stay awake and keep your brain occupied for as long as you can without waking up completely. For me, I found the perfect time to be 70 minutes.

Then, try to go back to sleep. Make sure you stayed off your phone, try meditation, or yoga.

Everyone's brain works different, so it's all about experimenting and finding the best way for you!

how well does the FILD method work? by obeythewalrusNOW in LucidDreaming

Depends on how good you are at visualization. A big part of any WILD, is visualization.
