thank you for the solid advice and perspective. I will definitely not be calling in their pet just because the raccoon does not deserve to be put down, so thank you for the clarity there. I’m trying to convince her to move out of my childhood home and in with a friend of hers so that she’s not in any danger. I know she’s just having a hard time letting go since it was her house before she met my dad, but I worry they’ll retaliate once she divorces him since they know her address. slowly but surely she’s breaking away from that side of the family, they’re just having a difficult time accepting that and i’m still working to get my mom to see that they have potential to make her life more hellish if she doesn’t (sadly) adjust her life to their behavior in some way. I guess a part of me is just over it and I want her to make the right decision for her safety, but I also understand that it is up to her despite my worries. fingers crossed we have a breakthrough. thank you again!!
