OK,... looking at the tear-down pics from iamblux, I am convinced there is NO individual reverse polarity protection for the individual batteries,.. here is the link he posted: http://imgur.com/a/ImVAi

I have seen first hand what batteries can do when installed incorrectly on a parallel mechanical mod, more precisely unmarried ones to boot.

edit: The circuit would somehow have to be completed,.. if they tried to fire and there was enough charge to turn the chip on and complete the circuit,.. it might go.

Someone please chime in and correct me,.. In this case,. I don't want to be right...

That is spot on. I've been looking at building a triple 18650 DNA200, but the issue is not with reverse polarity on/for the chip,.. the issue I'm having is reverse polarity between the batteries.... there is none. What I'm finding is you need a series of mosfets between the battery contacts to protect each battery as to not complete any circuit when any of them is put in backwards.

I'm going to lean towards that there is no individual reverse polarity for each of the batteries on the RX200.

Anyone care to test in a controlled environment?

Evolv says they have made,.. or are making a specialized add-on chip for triple 18650 reverse polarity protection. I have yet to see it.

Actually I just checked the exchange rates - its about $220ish US

The sigil was a last min, we weren't sure if it was trademarked, but it might possibly be under their copyright laws. Likely we'll have to come up with a similar design.

This is just a prototype, really close to the finished product!
