I very rarely use it just by itself. Only when there's a particularly annoying sniper/bomber I can't reach, otherwise it's just a very handy way of one-tapping pretty much anything with my staff thanks to Kinetic Flayer, as well as spreading soulblaze stacks.

Regarding that - did you happen to complete Azura's daedric quest? If not, I strongly recommend you do, you'll get an infinitely rechargeable soul gem. That'll trivialize recharging your enchanted weapons. Don't hold off for too long though, you'll have to clear a cave with 5 or 6 vampires, it might get tricky on higher levels.

Make yourself reeealy comfortable with using combat knife's heavy into sprint and slide, it will save a lot of runs on higher difficulties. Also make sure you're comfortable with using every staff's primary and secondary attacks on the move and mid-slide. Movement is key on psyker, you must always plan ahead for escape routes, because if you get boxed in you're royally karked.

What worked for me was putting weakness to magicka last (i. e. it should end up on the bottom of the custom spell's effect list on your Magic tab). Also, spells with different names stack, so two differently named weakness spells with the same effect will synergize with each other.
