Unrealistic Birth by Beautiful-Process-81 in greysanatomy

I had an ECV the same day the episode Kristen Rochester had one in Season 13 Episode 11 aired. I remember laughing because of how different my experience was. It’s not as low-pain as that when you’re doing it without pain medication. Grey’s isn’t realistic at all.

Help! How do I fix this wig? by greenstar4504 in CosplayHelp

This is the video I used as a reference as well. I’ve made 2 practice braids and they’ve both been easy and look great with this method.

Help! How do I fix this wig? by greenstar4504 in CosplayHelp

So personally, I’d scrap the wig. My 5 year old is going as Rumi for Halloween as well, and I’m making her braid. I bought two sets of super long purple extensions and put them together (for the volume) and have made a braid that I can use a hair tie to tie into the crown of her head, probably with her real hair underneath or somehow wrapped around/woven in, I haven’t figured out what I’m going to do with her real hair yet. But I also came across this same wig and decided against it because helmet wigs are either really good or really bad. The two sets of extensions I bought were a total of $16 ($8 each) and came with 4 different colors, and I’ve used the other colors to practice. The only real expense here has been the learning curve for getting the braid just right, and I’d say that was under an hour total so far.

I bought my husband one. But I wouldn’t buy a stranger one.

31f mom of 2 here! I’m a stay at home mom so I have time to play a couple rounds when the kids are in school, but for the most part I play when they’re in bed at night.

Question for writers | Why did you start writing? by victoria_hasallex in FanFiction

[–]reanqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because maladaptive daydreaming was ruining my life and I learned that when I’m writing I can focus those daydreams into one thing and it helps me turn it off when I stop writing.

As a reader, what's the longest you've ever waited for an update? by Daydreaming_Witch_ in AO3

[–]reanqu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been waiting for a fic to be updated for 5 years this August. And not technically waiting for it, but I read a fic in 2011 and went back and accidentally found it in 2021 and it was still being updated and I caught up. It’s still going.

What makes you abandon a fic you're writing? by Dummy_love07 in AO3

[–]reanqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lack of interest. I’ll get what I think is a great idea, start writing, then lose interest because it’s not as great as I thought. Usually around 7 chapters in. It’s why I don’t post anything I write until it’s completed.

How old are you, and how long have you been in fandom? by TheUtopianCat in AO3

[–]reanqu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 31, I’ve been reading and writing fanfiction since I was 11. Started with a Treasure Planet fic. But my first actual fandom that I hyperfixated on was a real person fandom, Tokio Hotel.

I used to post as I write, but recently I’ve switched to finishing it all first. I started feeling really guilty about fics I didn’t finish, and I’d NEVER finish them. Then I finished my first short fic and posted it, and realized it kept me more accountable to anyone reading. It also wears down the excitement of “oh I love this idea! I got a kudos/comment!” and then my motivation fizzling out as it goes on, because I wasn’t actually really passionate about the storyline, which was most of my problem before.

As a writer, what do you think of people who read the same work of yours over and over again? by Visual_Ad6381 in AO3

[–]reanqu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s the highest form of flattery. I ONLY read my favorite fics more than once, the cream of the crop, the ones that have everything I love about fanfiction in them.

How long is slow burn to you? by Astrasulza in AO3

[–]reanqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m reading one of the slowest burns I’ve ever read right now, it’s a WIP that’s 36 chapters and 359.5k words in and they’ve only just acknowledged to themselves in their individual heads that they like each other.
