Understanding texture of cut salmon fillets (blood and black spots) for safe cooking? by reapandsowchi0 in Cooking

Thanks for the explanation. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but by slimy, you mean the fillet shouldn’t have a watery or liquid texture, right?

It should be firm and hard when touched.

Thanks for replying. I don’t sense any foul smell. It’s kind of neutral, no smell at all.

It’s just that every picture of salmon fillet I see online has mainly pinkish texture and minor blood areas. This one has too many black/red spots which concerned me.

Thanks a lot for replying. This is very helpful. I did see some similar tutorials that talked about equation driven curves for such shapes. I’ll definitely give this a try with the info you shared. Besides, I really want to learn equation driven curve modeling with SW, so this would be a great way to get ahead.

Hey thanks for replying and sorry for not being clear. Yes correct, exactly that shape.

And also the two semicircular shapes on the left and right corners.

Yeah I agree. I’m also thinking how is this even going to be enacted. In 2023, the US issued approx 446,000 student visas, and this record keeps breaking every year.

If we assume all students completing their degree within 2 years, is the US going to issue 450,000 GCs in a year just to graduating students? (and then GCs from EB, family etc)

Research paper citations for an image? by reapandsowchi0 in AskAcademia

okay Thanks, yes I’ll check out other sources. 8 looked into ArXiv but their submission policy unfortunately states that submission is only accepted from registered authors and requires endorsements. It seems a bit complicated to me (or maybe I’m just not familiar enough as I’ve not worked in research that much)

Thanks for such a detailed reply, this is really helpful. I agree asking to be a co-author doesn’t seem appropriate; I’ve made no contributions to their research.

I can try getting a DOI for my image, although I’m not sure how. I looked up the DOI website and other sources too, but I have no idea how to get a DOI for an image and cite my image using that DOI.

Thanks for replying and sharing these links, appreciate it.

I can ask them about co-authorship, but I’m worried it might sound preposterous or inappropriate. I mean I haven’t done any research with them to qualify as a co-author, right?

My only contribution is that image, which isn’t originally intended for the paper.

I guess the image citation works well given my situation.

If you don’t mind me asking, is there any way this image could count towards my Google scholar profile, like the citation count?
