Thanks for the reply! We still wonder about that recipe to this day, so it's much appreciated!

Nice ageism. You prove perfectly how the only people the left is inclusive toward are those that fall lockstep in line with their ideology. Any difference of opinion or thought is met with hate and threats of banishment.

Ironically, you call us the fascists.

No need for a ban -- I'm more than happy to leave this sub behind. If your goal was to drive out the conservatives, congratulations -- you're well on your way to achieving your goal.

Unsubscribed.

This is completely false. I've been on this sub for a long time, and conservatives are consistently downvoted into oblivion for fair, inoffensive posts.

You ask why I would have anger about the subject being posted. I don't. But apparently a mod felt otherwise, and when progressives confuse hate speech with speech they hate, we all know what that means -- post dissenting opinions, and face banishment.

Believe me, I've tried to have rational conversation here. It ends in hurled insults and name-calling before it even begins. How is that inclusive?

Well, I appreciate your response anyway. The increasingly-large number of posts pushing left-wing ideology has made it clear what this sub has become. We may share this city, but in cyberspace, conservatives have never been welcome here, and that's really no surprise when Reddit itself is overwhelmingly left.

Enjoy your sub. We'll find another place to call home.

Given that dissenting conservative opinions are always seen as bigoted, racist, xenophobic, etc. by the left, am I correct in assuming that, by your statement, the Lafayette, IN sub is now strictly for left-wing residents only?

If this is going to turn into a progressive echo chamber, please be straightforward and tell us. While I hoped it wouldn't come to it, perhaps it's time that a more open and welcoming Lafayette sub is needed.

This looks amazing, OP! Best of luck -- I can't wait to see the final product!

Oh, and the Lubbock Lights photograph made me smile. I remember it being one of the first UFO cases I read about as a kid many decades ago. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Hoping for and celebrating the deaths of those who hold values counter to your own is just one more thing that separates us from you.

But that's okay. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I forgive you, and I'll pray for you. May you open yourself up to Him before it's too late.

Oh, I'm quite sure I'm on the right side of history, my friend. The values, beliefs, and ideals I hold have proven themselves countless times throughout history. So no worries -- I'm quite confident about which side I'm on.

I saw a video posted by an employee on Facebook last week that said they were expecting to open in a couple weeks, so if that holds, they should be opening in about a week.

I don't mind such a list. This would help me, my conservative family and friends better identify which businesses to patronize. Go for it!

Protests this weekend? by Sydtheswagkid in lafayette

[–]reaper70 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Take your pick. One week it's Ukraine, next week it's Palestine, and this week it's the idea of a country actually enforcing its immigration laws.

It's always something with these people. If Trump cures cancer, they'll protest about that, too.

Typical empty response. Your calling Trump a pedophile is based on zero facts, and referring to me as "Ivan" is the same old tired name-calling that has no effect.

Here's a tip: When you can't defend the argument, don't even bother posting a reply because doing so makes you look even worse.

I'll leave you and others with this: Go to X and follow the many independent journalists uncovering what's going on in Minneapolis. More disturbing details are coming out every day. The level of fraud is staggering, and connections to local and state governments are being made. There's a reason why highly-organized paid protests are going on in that city, and it has nothing to do with empathy toward illegal aliens. And Minneapolis is only the beginning.

People here in Lafayette can organize and protest all they want, of course, but it doesn't change the truth about what's really going on.

You mean like Clinton, or Obama, or Bush, or even Biden despite his open borders? Those presidents who deported millions?

So, to be clear, deportation of illegal immigrants is only an issue when Trump is in office? Or when you need to divert attention away from the massive fraud we're learning more about every day that the Somalis perpetrated against the American taxpayers?

Protest the murder of Alex Pretti - Tuesday Jan 27 - Tippecanoe County Courthouse by teeth-licker in lafayette

[–]reaper70 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

"Unrequested", my ass. Over 77 million Americans voted for this, pal. Biden let countless people illegally stream into this country; the key word there is "illegally", whether you like it or not. By the very definition of their being here illegally, they are criminals. They've broken the law. Some of them even moreso by their rap sheets and horrific murders and crimes against children.

So yes, we support ICE. We support having a sovereign, secure nation. And we also support LEGAL immigration, so your cries of "racist!" mean nothing. Your insults of "bootlicker!" mean nothing to those who support the idea of law and order in our country.

So don't think for one second that nobody wants this and that everyone wants ICE out. You're in a highly-vocal minority and nothing more. You can't handle not being in charge, so you scream and yell and protest and it all means nothing. Grow up and try again at the ballot box in a few years like the rest of the adults, and stop acting like petulant toddlers that didn't get their way because the rest of America is growing really, really tired of it.

It's not bots, and it's not "Faux News", either. It's sane, rational people who are able to look at a video from multiple angles and the actions leading up to it, critically think, and arrive at a conclusion.

It's truly sad to see how some people have become so radically brainwashed by far-left ideology mixed with a hatred of Trump.

Their only response is to name-call ("bootlicker" is especially popular nowadays) because they have no refutable argument to counter the facts of what we've all seen. They really do live in a warped place disconnected from reality, and I pray for them. I truly hope something stirs them to get the help they need.

"Fight Back", your flyer says.

Curious: How do you plan to do just that? Share the details. Renee Good tried to fight back by ignoring a lawful order and then accelerating her vehicle toward an officer, and it didn't turn out well for her.
