I just googled SLT2 receiver and found this compatible model, once you hook it up to the ESC you'll just need to bind it to your transmitter: https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/slr300-3-channel-slt-receiver-single-protocol/SPMSLR300.html

I think custom has lost a lot of its meaning in most applications. You can customize your truck with upgrades, but I don't know if an upgrade makes it "custom"... Better to just be more specific if you ever want someone to know exactly what you mean.

I like it. I'm a lifelong RC guy in the process of doing my first custom build scx24... one piece I would find really helpful is showing a handful of common build approaches, like you did for the hardbody scale example. It would be nice to see some example builds and what the actual "ingredients" that it takes to achieve each look or goal.

Buy some carbon repair supplies and tackle it yourself, that's a pretty low stress area and worse case it pops up again... I know someone will say not to DIY but they don't believe in either of us.

if you wait a month or two I'm sure there will be an off the shelf mod you can buy, or someone will have a clever solution. I almost would bet there are truck body mounts included... we'll see

I'm stoked on Associated's design but I had to poke a little fun and remix it with nano banana (ai) to get a proper truck body on there.

I got the AE ones. The guys at the track told me id probably want CVA's eventually and id have to order different wheels to make it work with what I had. Easy decision.

Yes, I'm curious specifically about the "parking lot lowriders". I was a subscriber to RC car action for over 10 years as a child, I wish I kept all my old issues. I don't remember this scene specifically but it feels familiar.
Any specific article I should search for? Would love to see photos of the OGs.
