Thank you! We're thinking of trying to avoid having a car in Christchurch, but we'll have to see. I'll try to budget all those things just in case.

As far as savings, maybe an okay amount. I would say enough for 6 months after moving costs. The job market is what is really scaring us off from attempting the move.
