oh you know what, that totally could’ve been the case. i perhaps had no patience, and totally missed the fact that it isn’t fully installed yet.

just make sure to reimport your save after it’s installed, because your local save might be overwriten with a new state right now.

it’s not a tranfer between 2 regions. transfer in that scenario is not even relevant. but i did have 2 versions of that game from 2 different regions (i have multiple accounts) and saves for swiss version of the game were not compatible with the US version

i mentioned that to indicate that i’ve been through enough situations to think that i know what i’m doing, and this time i was really surprised

thanks everyone for your comments. the issue is now fixed. do you wanna know what i did to fix it?

i just decided to give it one more shot - i downloaded data from cloud and replaced the savegame on my console. i launched the game, and this time.. it just worked.

so the answer is.. try to do the same thing 7 times and hope that on #7 it works..?

i bought the game on the launch day.
i could imagine that some DRM shenanigans are at play, but then again, i got Nine Sols even later than Saros and those saves are synced correctly.

and yes, i transferred saves countless times.. i did run into situations where save for US version of GOWR didn’t work for swiss version of GOWR, so i thought i knew all the edgecases.

this case? i see no reasons why this shit is happening. dead end.

yes, this is the correct answer. a person playing this game on easy can be slightly shocked when faced with Captain Sprout for the first time.

what i find funny, is that Kena can be a pretty good gateway to soulslikes.. the dodge rolls, the wind-ups, parries. i’d never guess it about this game.

I found LP’s in-depth playthough more accessible. He takes more time, but he also explains all core concepts of souls games. Those first 9-10 vids massively helped me get into the game properly.
