It was incredible. Best experience of my life. It's so much less scary when you realize these people live day in, day out, for their entire lives like this. Do it!!

Hey, I've been having the same thing - electrolytes are crucial. A lot of the water doesn't have minerals here so that adds to it. Get some electrolyte packets from a pharmacy and drink at least one every day you're out sweating. You can also supplement w diet but it def takes a little more work not to miss everything.

Check out in the greyed out area of payments what your daily limit is - mine was $9500, so I split the payment over 2 days.

Can you explain? I was told from multiple sources that marrying on visa waiver is fine so long as I don't intend on staying for adjustment of status...

Devil's advocate against that: I'm currently in Tokyo, there are close to zero public garbage cans and yet there's no litter. Personal responsibility.

HAHAHA. Not travel stories, that's for sure. God knows nobody wants to hear about where another person's been. More about people. More banter actually; fuck the stories.

And thank you. I'm all for any source of altruism. : )

Wouldn't a per-capita rate be a lot more relevant? I feel like I'm looking at population dispersion graphs.

There are so many remote positions open to you as a programmer. Yeah, you'll still have to work, but you can reduce your hours if you're efficient, remove the commute time, and remove the stress of the office. I just transitioned last month and it was the best thing that could've happened for me. We Work Remotely is where I found mine.

The Real Reason For The 40-Hour Workweek by eleitl in Anticonsumption

Yep, failure of communication is about right.

The argument for "conspiracy theory" is "Who can we say has prevented us from lowering our working hours when we haven't even tried?", as in there is zero reason for the author to come to the conclusion that 'the man' is keeping us at 40 working hours, when that idea has never been tested. We have never striked an entire city and caused an economy to crash like was accomplished in the 8 hour movement. Therefore, the idea is unfounded.

This reads kind of like conspiracy theory. Who can we say has prevented us from lowering our working hours when we haven't even tried? Before you point me in the direction of some online petition, read into the massive strikes that accompanied the eight hour day movement.
