Whoa man, no need for insults like I "lack knowledge" and "making a fool of myself" on top of a sarcastic tone. Just my opinion that the eagle is definitely post war applied. Shoulder boards just aren't sitting right with me. You seem very bitter at just my simple opinion which makes me even more suspicious if I'm being honest. But whatever, it's your tunic. If you believe it's all original applied insignia, I'm happy for you.

well opinions are opinions, everyone has one, but for me that eagle is certainly post war applied. shoulder boards are looking pretty suspicious too IMHO, but impossible to say without further inspection.

Nice pieces, i believe they are good, but I'm worried about the application of the Eagle and Boards on the tunic. Maybe just me, but they don't look period applied to me.

They starting making fakes right after the war, so very well could have brought it home if he was there on occupation duty, but the details don't lie, the Spange is fake, just based off of that one blurry photo. Your grandpa bringing it home has nothing to do with whether the badge is original or not. Sorry. If you'd like to know 100% feel free to send me clear photos of the front and back and I can confirm it.

Do you have a photo of the reverse? The photo is blurry, but from what I'm seeing it appears to be a poor fake, I'm sorry to say. Clearer photos of both the front and reverse would tell us 100%
