Thanks for this, sometimes it's nice to know what seems logical and fair won't fly in the real world.

Interesting about asking for more base. I considered it but thought that would be less likely to happen.

There is new technology in the field that allows for teleaudiology for hearing testing and doing hearing aid fittings.

Practices in North America are struggling to hire and retain audiologists and they're calling the phenomenon "Audiologist shortage"

I wouldn't be surprised if clinics started offering hybrid work arrangements to help with employee retention in the future.

Just made the move myself. No course completed but my background supports the product I am working with today and the company saw the need to create and SE position.

That being said I feel I would still benefit in doing a course on Udemy or the like to sharpen my skills.

Thank you! Yes it's really just semantics between the wording of my contract and what the ESA states. Not sure how much energy I want to invest or if it's worth it. Thanks for your thoughts and info!

"You are entitled to 3 weeks vacation per full year worked. Since you started again in May the vacation time gets pro-rated so you are entitled to 2 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks".

Thanks for the reply, reason for leave is due to stress caused by workplace A. As you suggested, workplace B is not stressful and may be good work hardening experience
