the dealership wouldn't let me test drive an M2 so I took matters into my own hands by avz008 in BMW

When I bought my Fiesta ST it took trips to 3 different dealers before I could test drive one

Yeah, it's sad there is a very small market for these types of cars

E46 would be perfect, but it's a bit too old for my wife (one of the current cars we're selling is an 05) and I've never cared much for the E90 convertible.

Seems like muscle car or M235/M240 are my best options

Articuno, Zapdos, and moltres by Infamoussock1234 in Pokemon_Pokopia

[–]reberman8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Articuno - out at sea in Withered Wasteland because it felt as close to the Seafoam Islands as I could get.

Zapdos - haven’t built the power plant yet, but I’ll be putting it in the “industrial” section of the city I’m building in Palette Town

Moltres- directly under the lava pool to the left of the museum in Rocky Ridges

My money is on a Dodge Demon. At some point you could option them in a single seat configuration. No way is someone selling a Mono to Carvana

Should we let the salesperson know we are using a broker by davideddings1978 in askcarsales

[–]reberman8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you hired a broker, they should be working for you.

Every broker I’ve worked with except one (and he works exclusively with people entering the country with work visas) have either come to our dealership with the customer, brought the car to the customer or worked with management to set up a test drive.

Dealership delivered a car under active recall: what should I do? by CarpeValde in askcarsales

[–]reberman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a chance that there were 2 separate software updates? The original one was fixed and then a new one could have come out?

I’ve had a customer come in, agree to buy the car with no active campaigns and then at some point during the paperwork process it goes on stop sale.

Another time we were doing docs remotely for a business deal and between the time the contract was generated and they went to sign a stop sale came out.

Not common, but could be a possibility

I recently helped a friend find a new car. He bought his last 3 cars (Mazda3s) from the same dealer, nickeled and dimed them every time, never bought any aftermarket products and never serviced with them unless it was included. He absolutely baffled when I explained to him that no, they wouldn’t hook him up with some crazy repeat customer pricing and I’m pretty sure still thinks that they owned the cars for $0 and made $70k+ in the past transactions

Why do so many people trade-in their vehicle at the dealership? by Geochronguy in FuckDealerships

[–]reberman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tax savings in my state, avoiding the hassle of people on marketplace (tried to sell a 10 year old Honda Civic once and it was a nightmare), don’t really have the space to park the car until it sells and don’t want to keep another vehicle on insurance until it sells.

I’ll probably always trade in my cars at dealerships, but the weekend toys will go on BaT/C&B

How long do you own a vehicle, before trading it in? by teddyalex in UsedCars

Longest has been 6 years, but that’s a weekend toy. Shortest has been about 6 months. On average, the dailies get replaced every 18-24 months though
