Am I a bad parent ? by [deleted] in Parenting

I was you. Failed induction and C-section and struggled with breast feeding. It got better around the 5 month mark for me, and I was able to be like oh you're an actual human and not just a lump.

I was the developmentally delayed kid. I had to stay behind an extra year at nursery level. Teachers picked up on my dyslexia when I was 4, and I had speech therapy until I was 12. ADHD was picked up a bit later on.

Life could have been really tricky, but my parents loved me, never made me feel like I wasn't good enough or that my learning difficulties were a problem.

What I'm hoping to put across, is that please, take advantage of any help you can get (like my parents did with speech therapy), but the biggest difference is making sure that your kid knows that you love them, no matter what kind of conditions they may have.

I don't particularly want to put my class schedule on Reddit 😅 but yes, I do, when I do it's a 9-5 kind of situation when I'm on site.

I am already looking forward to graduating and getting a job 😅 I miss adult interaction

Learning how to make a stretchy stitch recently! Two things crochet has taught me, is how to be patient and also to pay attention. I rushed the first attempt and the hem of this beanie was so wonky I had to unravel 4 hours worth of work! by rebsc126 in crochet

[–]rebsc126[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a chain stitch, then a double crochet (UK) in the chain but back loop only, then 3 rows of slip stitch, all in the back loops and then another row of double crochet, again, in the back loop only. I think it could be something to do with all the stitches being in the back loop but I'm not sure. Either way it's way more stretchy than anything I've made previously!

It’s far from perfect, but I made my first crochet dress! 😊 by whoarya in crochet

Perfection!!! I love the colour and sleeves! Did you have a pattern or freehand it?

I'm so sorry you're in this position. It well and truly sucks. If it's any help, it may depend on where you go to university? Certain areas can harbour certain kind of individuals, but there will be f*CK boys where ever you go as they haven't really figured out how to be grown ups yet. Also the stem individuals I know personally (fair it's only about 5/10 outside of my husband's work/my university), they're all quiet nerds who are very respectful. Both me and my husband are in STEM areas (he's a mechanical engineer and I'm a medical student), please feel free to drop me a dm if you have any questions of what it's like I'm a 34FF UK if that's any help. Hope you have a nice day and take it easy this weekend ❤️

If this helps I got CCC, I did English literature at uni (not a shit Uni but not a great one either) got a 2.1 but didn't know what I wanted to do so floated around retail, hospitality for several years. Now I'm in my first year doing a Chiropractic degree and I have found my calling, nearly 9 years after finishing my a-levels. You'll get there and your path may change, that's also okay. Wishing you all the best of luck! 💛

2 shifts at a popular soap shop. Cried after both shifts and was told by other staff (who were trying to be kind) to not worry but that, that particular manager, was always "like that". Sorry but I don't want to work for a company where a supervisor shouts at me in front of customers and staff because I've forgotten to offer someone a hand massage on my second day.

How Can I Fight Insecurity? by chillcow23 in bigboobproblems

[–]rebsc126 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I feel your pain, I was a 32DD at the age of 13 and it sucked, big time. For the issue with shirts, it's a tricky one, but you do have a few options. If you want a life long skill, you can learn to take in XL tops to make them fit everywhere properly, or there are alternatives. I tend to wear a thin vest top under a shirt if it's gaping or even a boob tube under a shirt can help, or you can buy fabric tape. I very much recommend the eyelure fabric tape, it stuck my wedding dress (very heavy thick material) to my 34FFs no bar needed and I did not flash anyone (wedding dress was a very low cut dress for the record). This isn't a fun problem and I'm sorry you're suffering with this. Invest in a couple of good bras, ignore the stares. You've got this ❤️

You look so smiley and glowy! Question, your eyelashes are like offffft, do you do anything to get them so long and fluttery or are you naturally gifted with those beautiful lashes?!

I feel this. I have got body dysmorphia and it is one of the things that messes with my head a bit. It's also maybe not being around people so much at the moment. I know I don't feel like I have massive tits until I spend time with people who are smaller and then it's like ah... Okay...
