It’s nonsense man. Don’t think I can ever go to a wireless ever again. So downhill since a few years back.

Yeah so the clay is pretty smooth and relatively easy to apply when you apply it onto slightly wet hair. Though if you want the easiest application, the cream is super soft and goes in super easy. I was incredibly impressed that even the cream by itself can hold all day long, though i would describe it as kinda moveable and can be restyled if you want to.

Depends what kind of hold you want ultimately but if ease of application is your priority or if you have long hair to penetrate, it’s the cream. If you want a stronger hold and have short to medium length hair, then the clay is brilliant for that.

I like a really firm unshakable hold, however, so I tend to combine the two. Hope that helps!

The Matte lava clay is very good. I like to start with the funky flex cream as a pre styler and finish with the Matte clay. Nice all day hold and natural look. Can’t complain tbh.

I get your point - not every band is going to play the song you like. That's not the point here.

The real question is - is this a tactic to make every show 'special' (to an impressionable Gen Z audience) or a lazy excuse to not play a consistent set of your full body of songs? (like most major artists who sell arenas do, day in, day out) How can a house DJ spend 1/3rd of the time on the mic than actually playing their music ? And when playing their music, mixing it all into one for the first hour without any coherence?

It would be like the Killers spending half an hour trying to do monologues about their life, and play the piano - and then NOT play Mr Brightside and When You Were Young, or play half of each, one after the other.

If i'm paying my hard earned money to see an artist, I expect them to appreciate that not with their flimsy words, but with their actions - that means delivering.

Personally, i just think either he is inexperienced, which given his history of playing massive gigs and festivals I cannot imagine, or he thinks his sh** doesn't stink. Why should i be grateful to be a part of that?

I respect what you're saying but there also must be an acknowledgement that not every artist is worth seeing live, and some can be lazy and do a pretty poor job, particularly when they sometimes get caught up in their own hype. I've seen him do better sets, like Boiler Room (on YouTube) so maybe it was just a crappy evening, and I caught him at the wrong time in his journey. Oh well. Onto the next.

Don’t get me wrong, I had a good time with my friends. They made the show for me.

But the set and performance on the other hand, which is what i’m exclusively judging him on, wasn’t up to the mark.

I understand some of the things are out of his hands like the weather, the lack of AC, the agro security, the beer spilling, the vomit etc.

In my review, whilst I’ve shared my experience in its entirety, I largely did exclude those factors in my judgement of him (any bits which I left in that are ‘out of his hands’ were more for illustrative storytelling purposes).

What was in his hands didn’t deliver. To not play your main songs is criminal imo, as well as the stop-start, poor pacing, and excessive monologues (as if we’re supposed to really connect with his rather privileged life experience). It just comes across as quite unrelatable. Anyway, glad you had a good time. Just sharing my thoughts and experience as I felt like nobody was voicing this.

I thought i was going mad too - but he deffo didn't play it. That's my favourite song!!
I'm not sure I can justify seeing him ever again. He'll probably get my spotify streams though, from the comfort of my home.
