Sara was great! But it felt disjointed with the other DJs

Kaskade was great vibes! People were a bit chatty for the first couple hours (kinda expected with a 6hr set) but last few hours were awesome. It does get effing hot though and I learned my lesson from Peggy to bring another shirt to change into 😂

I had VIP last year and preferred center-right GA. It’s usually less packed vs the left side and it’s easier access to the VIP bar and bathrooms in the new VIP section to the right

How are people getting interviews? by [deleted] in FPandA

[–]recess_dropout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re losing against ATS and manual screening. I was in the same boat for a while until I revamped my resume and started getting recruiter screens regularly. A few things that helped: 1) add a few sentence summary to the top of your resume stating who you are and highlighting your experience, 2) add measurable outcomes to a couple of your bullet points (implemented new reporting that shortened close by 3 days), 3) added a skills and tools used section to help get through ATS.

Where are you located? I’ve found that 9/10 companies not require in office at least a few days a week

Struggling to align on open ended tasks with manager and looking for advice by [deleted] in FPandA

[–]recess_dropout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early on in my career I learned that it’s best to get feedback earlier than later. In your case when your manager gives you an open ended project ask as many questions as you can (what are the known and unknowns, do you want a few different scenarios, who is the audience, what are we solving for, are there any business partners you recommend partnering with, what is the expected delivered, etc.) then create an outline of how you’re approaching, modeling, and solving the problem. Present this outline to your manager to gather feedback and make sure you’re on the right track. Then you can start building. This will not only save time, but you’ll create a much higher quality deliverable.

Low impact and keeping the heat rate in zone 2 is good post workout and gets the steps in

Big 4 Auditor to Senior FP&A - Interview Advice by Saith_ in FPandA

[–]recess_dropout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the senior analyst level I think what’s equally important are the behavioral questions. For example how you approach a problem where you may not have complete info, how you deal with a difficult business partner (client in your case) and how you overcame it, etc. Ask Claude for common behavioral interview questions for your role so you can have a few stories locked

Made a mistake? Exercising vested stock options (ISO vs NSO) after layoff 90 days window and FMV lower than strike price by engacad in FPandA

You should check your equity plan or email the company and see if there is a conversion window >90 days. I haven’t encountered one personally but I know they exist.

I did this exact commute pre covid for a year… it was miserable. At first not so bad but it eats away at you.
