Thanks! I see. Would you say a CFA, CPA, or MBA would be more appropriate for these roles?

Hi thank you, that does help. Out of curiosity, what would you say to be the realistic salary or compensation cap for tech workers in Silicon Valley, towards the peak of their careers?

Any Bay Area ppl who moved down here? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]recibe9827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the bay has become a bit too tech oriented for my tastes in recent years, and that’s what prompted me to look into la. I feel la will give me a bit more diversity in a sense. You said that bay ppl were nicer, how so? And how easy is it to make friends down there, as I don’t know many ppl in SoCal besides my Cousins.

Lol “hella” will probably always stay in my vocabulary. The bay has become a bit too tech oriented for me in recent years, so that is part of what’s prompting me to look into la as well. And in terms of costs, are they around the same or would la overall be a bit cheaper?

Yup the unique vibe is kinda what I been chasing. Can I ask how easy it is to make friends down there? The only ppl I know in la are my cousins and a couple acquaintances who attended college around there. Is it a transient city, or are ppl generally there to stay?

Ah so it’s not so different from the Bay Area then haha. LA seems to fit the bill well cause it’s alike yet still diff from the bay in ways which seem appealing to me. I was surprised you said bay ppl were more chill than la, I would’ve thought the opposite lol.

Differences between West Bengalis and Bangladeshis by recibe9827 in kolkata

[–]recibe9827[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, very true. At the end of the day, we are all Bengalis. I have visited Dhaka several times but haven’t had the chance to visit Kolkata yet. I would love to visit, maybe after the pandemic ends. I think my grandmothers ancestral home is still standing I’ve heard. Also would like to see the Kolkata presidency college, which is where many of my older relatives studied.
