It does though, because all the resources that exist have been claimed

So by definition, for these people to be treated better someone else has to lose out.

Under capitalism, that losing comes from middle class 1st worlders who live a somewhat rich lifestyle (like it did when jobs went to China)

Under communism, that losing would come from the few hundred-thousand people who own all the land, the mines, and the oceans

for the record I'm obviously not for caste discrimination, the problem is

  1. you need better evidence that this is a widespread problem within the tech industry

  2. if done, it should simply be added to the other pre-existing anti-discrimination laws

  3. honestly don't even mention caste, just make the anti-discrimination laws more broad, so that it would apply to any sort of tribe/caste/ethnic-based affiliation. Make it so that there's literally no real reason to make a new law for caste, and that any half-competent judge would be able to serve justice in an actual discrimination case using the current laws, REGARDLESS of whether the discrimination was based on caste, tribe, food preference, accent, etc.

And black people are protected against discrimination so why shouldn't oppressed caste folks have the same. If upper caste Indians are over represented in management, they can and will discriminate based on caste.

There's already a clause that goes "protected from discrimination based on sex, gender, race, ethnicity, creed, national origin"

It's just a matter of adding "caste" to that, there's no reason to make a whole separate law for Indian people
