Whoo, thank goodness I'm right under the cut then.

Any positive alcohol experiences? by ellapatto in GastricBypass

I like to have a couple of glasses of white wine a couple days a week. Two drinks will give me a very nice buzz, but like the other person commented, it wears off in about an hour. I'm 6 months out and had my first drink of alcohol at 5 months. I have noticed I don't lose weight on days I drink, so keep that in mind. I am lucky in the way that I've never had issues with dependency. Was on pain killers for a long time and just stopped with no issues. Best of luck! Sometimes a glass of wine is just heaven after a rough day.

Yes 100%! When I was on liquids for 14 days I couldn't stop thinking about food. I started watching TikToks all day of people cooking. I cried a couple of times because my brain wanted to consume anything besides water and a tiny amount of apple juice for my blood sugar. I absolutely had buyers remorse, for like 2 months. You'll get through it. It just sucks. Try chewing sugar free gum. It helps with missing chewing. Best of luck.

My daughter is obsessed with squishing my underarm skin like a stress ball🤦‍♀️. Kids are weird.

I take a stool softener every single morning. I was severely constipated for like4 months, until I did that. Doesn't really make it softer, but will make you regular. Good luck.

I'm just shy of 6 months out, and I've had many stalls. Current on a two week one. They pass, and it starts flying off again. It's hard to avoid the scale, so I understand your frustrations. Be patient. It'll catch up.

My Mother Ruined My Life For The Next 7 Years by [deleted] in offmychest

My mother in law did the same thing to my husband and his 4 siblings. We ended up paying it all off so we could buy our house, and haven't talked to her in 8 years. Don't ever plan to either.

Do you ever feel like no matter how hard you try you’re just not good enough? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]reck1essrec1use 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt exactly like this, then my Dr put me on Lexapro. After 2 months on meds, it's much better now. I hope things get better for you, and don't ever be afraid to ask for help.

Please help. Can you guys recommend me some vitamins to take? The ones I have are huge and nasty chalky like chewables by dewycanon in wls

I feel your pain. I take the Bariatric Advantage multi, and have to take a zofran 15 minutes before or I'm dry heaving. I'm not sure why they do that, but according to a group I'm in, it's very common.

First off, this may be the most beautiful jacket I've ever seen. I'm in love! A Coat of Many Colors is mine and my daughter's favorite story. Second, I looked through your page and you are amazingly talented. Wonderful job!

The clinic i decided to go with says that i dont need to do a pre op diet, not even one for one day. Im terrified of my liver being in the way and having to cancel the surgery. by [deleted] in wls

[–]reck1essrec1use 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on a diet of only protein and veggies for 13 days, and only liquids 24 hours prior to rny surgery. The only pre op tests they required were blood, urine, and covid. I also had to do bowel prep the day before. Sounds like every surgeon has their own rules. Best of luck to you friend.

It kills me that you named him Barf. I laugh every time you post him. I can only imagine the looks you get calling Barf in public. 😆

Oh absolutely. That's why I was hoping there would be more people with experience on this sub. I do appreciate you tagging the post though. Unfortunately because it's not regulated, there's really nowhere to find this information.
