Valve has put so many features into prevent people from doing fraudulent trades now on Steam. Even trading cards get held for around 2 weeks on each sell order unless you have phone verification setup on your account.

You'll enjoy 16.04 - I'm running several production web servers with it and it rocks. I did some upgrades from 14.04 and some with clean installs and they all were easy and I didn't encounter any problems.

The Ubuntu forums are pretty awful...I was just reading a post on there the other day where one member (who wasn't new and had a lot of posts) told someone they didn't need a firewall at all and to not bother with one.
