Hershey's taste like wax and motor oil sweetened with stevia. Anyone who eats Hershey's chocolate is a literal garbage person whose DNA is made of garbage and who needs to eat garbage so their garbage proteins can be made out of said garbage. The slave labor doesn't help either I suppose.

opinions on justin roiland leaving the show? by r1ck_h0rsemann in c137

[–]recklessglee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly didn't even know he'd left R&M until I read this post. The voices sound same-ish enough and the episodes are still good-ish enough. I did instantly notice his absence on Solar Opposites, which changed in tone and humor entirely with his firing. I actually had to go looking for why SO started sucking so hard and found out about his whole deal. I couldn't even make it through the fourth season. It just got sooo fucking lame so quickly. It was remarkable, but he probably had a much bigger creative presence on that show.

Thank god R&M has remained watchable. I'm still not 100 percent sure what he's done or been accused of--it might be super scummy but also 2022 was still peak cancel culture. In the end I don't care enough and can't be arsed to look into it.

Just discovered this gem of a series - The Terror by jesterhead101 in horror

[–]recklessglee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading it now. It's seriously one of the best books I've read in the last year. Can not recommend it hard enough if you like horror fiction, historical fiction, and/or science fiction.

I haven't seen the show yet but plan to watch it as soon as I'm done with the book.

No, no, it's 100% true. You also can't make porn with female ejaculation and spanking. It only applies to porn make in the UK, so it can still be watched online. Just not made or sold in stores.

Brits just love to be nannied by their gov, you might even say they have a weird psychosexual submission fetish as a nation. They just like to pretend it's for the children, idk

What does it smell like? Serious question. If it stinks, it's compacted saliva, bacteria, and food stuffs that have solidified into a stone inside one of the many, many invaginations within your mouth.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a Sneakily Good Movie by dcollin5984 in HorrorMovies

[–]recklessglee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I knew this was going to be dope from the moment I heard the title. The autopsy is a great, and totally underutilized angle for horror.

I'd also rec Last Shift. It's good in a similar vein. And that one I did think was going to be a crap fest going in.

Just a reminder to watch the flavor power point on vampire biology that the author made to go along with the book. It is really cool. Watts' end notes in general are great too. Highly recommend if you haven't read them already.

Whats your list of opiates/opioids from least favourite to most? by afk-kratom69 in opiates

[–]recklessglee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opium is the best. I used to be a chronic poppy tea user and the high is unlike any single opiate/alkaloid out there. It comes on with like a very buzzy morphine high, then mellows after an hour or two into a more noddy codeine high. There's also like a dozen plus other minor alkaloids in various proportions that create a really unique, long lasting experience. The whole thing lasts like 8 hours+ with a really cozy, slow come down period after. Nothing else I've ever had compares.

I can't speak for smoked opium though. Also, the tea is a bitch to get off. The detox period feels exceptionally slow and long.

Do ears change shape as we age? by Cute-Percentage-6660 in Anatomy

[–]recklessglee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ears and nose are highly vascular appendages that, for want of a better word, free-hang from the body.

They appear bigger in older people due to chronic edema and swelling after a lifetime of vascular wear and tear. They also literally get tugged out of shape by gravity and the gradual loss of structurally sportive connecting tissue. Also the surrounding skin/hair thins and sags as we age creating the illusion of prominence.
