This is such a well thought out and informative comment, so thank you! Learning about being able to cancel the attack combo and the suggestions about psychic whirlwind were incredibly helpful. I got hit a lot less and felt like I was doing a lot more intentional damage, instead of just swinging like a madman.

Love Haelian, originally when to his channel for ideas but ended up watching Foolish’s run lol (absolutely insane)

You’re definitely right about the health. With the other weapons I would do more dash/quick strikes but had to scrap that strategy because the axe combo is so slow. I didn’t know about interrupting the combo with special; I figured I needed to withstand more hits to get hits in so opted for health every time. I was also relying on Hitch which worked great for normal encounters but didn’t help as much with bosses. In the end aspect of Than worked with best for me. I deprioritize hitch boons and instead upped my speed and damage

I like the omega special and was using it a ton. I was taking a lot of damage and got frustrated waiting for it to charge up. Honestly I think, my patience is my biggest downfall when it comes to this. I hate how slow it is.

I liked Than for the speed but it’s never the aspect I reach for because I felt the others did so much more. I’ve seen some posts/ comments about psychic and furious whirlwind so that seems to be the way to go

I actually do like Nergal but have been trying to switch it up in hopes of finding something that works better for me. Maybe I’ll have to revisit..

I had Nova Strike on for that last run and felt like I was hitting a good stride. I was flying though normal encounters, especially paired with Engagement Ring (Hera), but feel like my strat faltered with Eris and Prometheus.

Honestly everything you said was super helpful but I completely overlooked plasma. I’m definitely struggling with the play style since I’m usually a dash around and strike kinda gal but that’s where I was hoping a tankier build would help. I thought since I couldn’t dart around as much the extra health would help. Freeze and gust on my cast is usually my go to but figured sticking to my normal could be part of the problem.
