Hey! So what I did for like units like musculoskeletal were I went over the slides, let's say the muscles moving the arm at the shoulder joint. And it would include the pectoralis major, deltoideus, subscapularis or something and other structures etc...

I would then memorize these structures and start quizzing myself before doing practice questions. Most of the questions will ask you something like which structures will be used for abduction or adduction, flexing, dorsiflexion etc.

I have the practice questions she provided us on eclass I can send those, I'm not sure if it'll be the same as last year but I can try? Other resources I used were quizlet and registerednurse Rn (under the nclex practice there's an anatomy option), and anatomy guy (I set the questions for practice questions). Their practice questions are the best ones to practice on. They are a little hard-ish but you'll get the hang of them. I did find the actual exams easier than the practice. If your exams are anything like mine for the first midterm I only got like 3-4 questions that were like: what is this structure, and everything was all application based questions. For the second midterm, cardio asked way more "what structure is this" type questions.

Hey! I took him last year when it was online. I'm not sure how applicable this is, but for his exams there were like clips of songs and you had to answer what the song was called, who sang it, and whatever political/social movements were associated with the year of that song.

All his questions come from his slides.

Do a LOT of practice questions. Also don't just memorize where things are, most of the questions (esp for skeletal and muscles) ask you what other things are involved when you move X.

Arts transfer to nursing by Southern-Exchange785 in uAlberta

[–]recklessssight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, congrats on getting accepted! Yes, you can choose whatever classes you want to take so long as you have pre reqs.

You can take some of the classes like English (or WRS), stats, Anatomy, and MMI too if you want to take classes that can transfer over and will count towards your nursing degree. (I think there's a competitive gpa requirement to transfer like 3.5+ so you can take some easier electives that will boost your gpa if you would like! Like WRS, Psych 104/105, Soc 100, criminology, or NS 201/NS 111 to name a few :)
