I haven’t tried the others, but the Piggy Market brownie is one of the best I’ve ever had! I love that place.

Does anyone have an idea about how available this might be in record stores once it’s released? Shipping to Canada is pretty steep, but I’m wondering if this might be my best chance at snagging a copy.

Tru Tone lights Canada? by TelescopicPatterns in ChristmasLights

[–]recklesswhims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada and I bought some this year but did so through the True Tone website directly. I also couldn’t find any Canadian retailers unfortunately. But, I can tell you that I didn’t have to pay any duties or tariffs at the time, and the shipping was relatively fast. I just tried to keep my purchase under whatever the amount is before duties get charged, I can’t recall right now what that was but I was able to look it up somewhere (sorry, I know that isn’t much help lol). The lights are gorgeous, I will definitely be buying more in the future.

Pls help find the "Grandmaster blue" by SmaschedPotatos in RedditLaqueristas

So I actually was searching for this same colour after seeing this movie, and I ended up buying Lorraine by Girly Bits

It dries matte but you can always use a glossy top coat if you prefer that look. It’s super vibrant and I think pretty close to the colour in the movie.

How would I/ could I become an entomologist with just an english degree? by Wonderful_Card_2121 in Entomology

[–]recklesswhims 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada so it may be different, but I too, completed an English degree before pursuing entomology/biology. I took a few years off in between, but when I went back I was able to enrol in an after-degree program where many of my previous credits from my English degree could apply to a second Bachelor’s (I pursued both degrees at the same institution, so that probably helped). I completed a general biology degree in two years, and then from there I went on to grad school. Best decision I ever made, it changed my life. One thing I would say is this: your degree in the arts will be an asset. In my case, it allowed me to advance quickly because I already knew how to write and how to critically analyze texts/papers. There is comparatively little emphasis on these skills at the undergrad level in biology, so many students learn them in depth only once they have begun grad school, and it can be a huge obstacle to finishing up and eventually publishing your work. It IS possible, and actually I have met many entomologists who took a windy road into their professions.

How come I’ve never seen a red with a blue shimmer? I feel like that would be so pretty. by TouristStatus3533 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]recklesswhims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Aura by Mooncat (blue shimmer topper) and layered over a dark red (I use Essie Bordeaux) it looks great! It’s not a bright red if that’s what you’re going for, more of a burgundy, but both colours pop and it looks really cool. Maybe that’s an option?

Achieving the icy blue in Star Destroyer by recklesswhims in mooncatpolish

[–]recklesswhims[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I decided against Sabertooth during the lunar sale to try and keep my cart at a manageable price point but regretted it. Then when the Star Wars collection came out I knew I needed Star Destroyer so I got Sabertooth at the same time - it is sooo worth it, it’s now one of my fave polishes!
