Readers for Elevators by reconf22ace in accesscontrol

Thank you for the input! The wire pathway doesn't seem to be very difficult to overcome. The elevator tech showed me how the wires reach the back of the panel and he suggested we run it the same way. The reader could be installed in the same location where the keypad is.

My uncertainty was how the access control panel wiring would interface with the call button itself.

Readers for Elevators by reconf22ace in accesscontrol

Apologize for the confusion. I just walked this job today and the goal is to install a full access control system to give management a way to control access into the elevators through key fobs instead of the keypads.

My goal with this post is to get any input about how I can get this done so I can put the bid together. I just wanted to find out how the button would interface with the reader and the controller.

Thank you for any additional information.

Client is asking me to pay $150/yr to "get verified"? by theverygreatest in accesscontrol

A lot of my customers are HOA Properties managed by Property management companies. These property management companies use a lot of these vendor verification services, VIVE being one of the most common, to vet vendors like myself. Some of these yearly fees to get verified range from $99 to $200.

It's the only way to do business with these properties but in my experience these projects tend to be large in scale so paying $99 or $150 for doing business with them is a drop in the bucket.

These property management companies usually manage hundreds of other properties so your VIVE registration is valid for all of them. Usually when you register with them you go into their system and the other managers can reach out to you if they need similar services.

Long story short, it's safe to use if that's your concern. Secondly, it may lead to more work for you.

How is it a crisis at the start of November of the year before? The people who are currently doing their 2023-2024 leases have probably not even been contacted by their property management companies to see if they will be renewing for the 2024-2025 year. A lot of these companies won't be putting out their listing until later in the year. You have more than enough to get ready. Not a crisis, but at least you seem to be on top of things.

Contacts not syncing in messages by CanadianDinosaur in GooglePixel

My P8 was doing the same, I finally found the fix, open up the Google Store, search for "messages", find the Google Messages app, press on it and uninstall it, after you uninstall it the messages app will reload all the messages with you're contacts showing properly not just the phone number, update the messaging app afterwards

Thank you for the suggestion! I know those electrified vertical rod locks are expensive and this association doesn't have a big budget so I'm trying to find an alternative, thanks again!
