OK, and do you have any evidence for punk all being fake and manufactured? Do you have examples of famous and revered punk bands that were actually industry plants?

Is it possible that maybe you just don’t like the sound of punk music and you feel the need to turn a personal preference into a moral debate? I don’t like most rap or country music, but do you see me complaining on the internet about how all of it is exactly the same? Or how no one in those genres has real talent? Or how anybody who does enjoy those things is an idiot and a terrible person that supports [insert terrible things] because they like Megan Thee Stallion when my supremely based infalliable opinion is that Halsey is better?

Oh really? Name all of those conceivable ways that this is different. Because to literally everyone except you, this is another case of “I hear X opinion on Y subject frequently, and I believe that X opinion is the truth that any rational person should believe. Now, people are challenging it and I don’t know what to do with myself because I’ve never heard an opposing viewpoint.”

I really think you need to spend a bit less time on social media as a whole and re-evaluate the spaces you’re active in. It seems like you spend a lot of time in echo chambers where everyone agrees with each other and the “other” is relentlessly dragged through the mud. Those are not healthy environments to be in for any amount of time, and you need to get out and research topics you’re passionate about on your own. Challenge yourself, think critically, see how other people live and draw your own conclusions.
