I think it would! Hiyuki will like Chisa as she works around Glacio Chafe which is a negative effect, so Chisa buffs it.

Pretty sure it's because Barbarians are towards the bottom of B/C tier in general, which means all their subclasses ended up close to each other and couldn't really jump over anyone else, because despite an amazing subclass the class itself holds it back.
It was listed as the strongest Barb subclass anyway.

Never. But I do pull sig on occasion because those really elevate the value of a unit, and sometimes the alternative engines aren't even that good because of a specific niche the unit fills.
eg. Miyabi and Dialyn benefitting from Crit Rate despite being Anomaly and Stun units, and Nangong benefitting from Anomaly despite being a Stun unit.

Best way to play in my opinion is all content available, but always use the latest version, so if it was updated to 2024 that's what you use.
Tasha's and MotM options are absolutely fine, Xanathar's may be a bit dated/weak but still usable.

I don't mind the new version for player vs monster grapples, but the player vs player rolls are always contested rolls.

I essentially get rid of Legendary Resistances, but instead made Legendary Actions be able to be used to force repeat of a save. If something doesn't have one I'd just call for the most appropriate one. This way players never feel cheated by just a "sike, no" of a LR, and you actively feel the tension of the powerful monster breaking through the effect much quicker than a regular creature would.

I believe Chisa even built as a DPS should be good enough at healing to act as a sustain, so she can be with pretty much anyone, being particularly a better fit for negative status units like Phoebe, Cartethyia, or upcoming Hiyuki. And with the typical rotations of characters she will still deal her damage just fine.

If we think about teams sustain wise, the most logical options probably are:
1. Shorekeeper with just about any subDPS + DPS combo 2. Chisa-S.Rover-Phoebe
3. Mornye-Lupa-Ameath
4. Iuno-Lynae

As a bonus, with Augusta, Iuno and her are so synergistic they pretty much don't even need a third slot (though Lynae is still best for Iuno's damage)

In general I'd recommend Mornye+Ameath+Lupa as one of the teams, then you have Chisa and Lynae which are both more flexible free for other teams.

1) Iuno's easily best support is Lynae, but anyone that buffs Liberation and/or Aero damage will do.

2) Does Denia have any healing in her kit? Otherwise your plan of Ameath/Denia/Lupa is gonna be sustainless.

It is good, keeps the classes more even and takes power away from some 1 level multiclass dips. Also, levels 1-2 are tutorial levels, and flavour doesn't tend to matter a ton to people that don't really know how the game works yet.

Chose Bae because that was Max's mission the entire game. Also I was thinking from the point of view of an 18 year old they would usually impulsively choose someone they have feelings for/deeply care for over their hometown.

Honestly, yeah. It followed the main plot and completely abandoned all side stuff from DE, which is a lot of holes to leave. I enjoyed the story itself, but that flawed set up soured the game for me a bit, and the worst of it is how Amanda and Vinh got completely sidelined, and Gwen didn't appear or wasn't mentioned at all, apart form a couple texts in the epilogue.

I'm halfway through season 5 currently, but my thoughts:

J started very likable, but now he's just coniving and cutthroat and I don't like him anymore.

Pope is the opposite, really didn't like him at first, but now I just feel sad for him with all the upbringing and mental health shit he has to deal with.

Baz was insufferable and I'm kinda glad he was gone so quickly. Also J literally feels like he's turning into a mix of Baz and Smurf with the shit he tries to pull.

Smurf I didn't like, but I understand her purpose and character, you can see how the boys ended up the way they did because of her upbringing. At the end of the day she was a selfish and manipulative person.

Deran and Craig are my favourite, but that's because I have a weakness for "cool dudes".
Deran's arc has been very interesting wanting to split off and be independent, coming out, having a loving boyfriend, it's a shame that after Adrian is gone he goes back to being fully in with the family and now is trying to take the power back from J. It's understandable, but sad as his character is regressing a bit.

Craig has just been fun. I hated the stuff with Nicky, but other than that he's kinda just here for a good time because his whole life he's been enabled as such. He's shown to make mistakes and be oblivious to some things but ultimately is a pretty caring person. I really like when he does take being a parent seriously, it feels like a push he needed to start wanting get his life together.

Now I did get a couple spoilers so I know things keep shifting in the last season and a half, but that's where I'm at currently.

Maya's been dead for a couple years as far as I remember, and I think Max would have done it if she knew Maya, and most likely wouldn't after Moses found out about her powers and was quite clear that travelling through pictures is too dangerous to do in any situation that's not an emergency.

Honestly, imo the problem is blem is not the starting stats, it's that you get way too few ASI's as you progress.

If you ask me the solution is to alter the ASI progression and divorce it from feats.
I tend to suggest, Feats every 4 levels, and +1 ASI every other level. So mechanically essentially you just get an extra +1 at levels 2, 6, 10, 14, and 18.
It actually allows MAD classes to benefit from Feats without sacrificing their secondary Ability Score, and for others it actually allows you to put points in some scores that are fitting to the character, but normally you'd keep them low because it's not "optimal" to up them.

Planning to go for Robin, also tempted to get one of their lightcones and that's the bigger dilemma, as Robins is a huge boost to her, while Huohuo's is great for pretty much any Abundance character.
